Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thumbs up princeton tec absolute perfect hiking headlamp! Did a good 3 weeks of research into headlamps before making the decision to go with this one! After 3 months of use I am absolutely in love with it. I've put the headlamp underwater and hiked in the rain and had no issues with water in the battery compartment. Its highly durable, ridiculously light, gives a great spread of light and degrees of brightness. Its been dropped and crushed via objects in my pack. This is seriously a very well made headlamp that has had a lot of thought put into it for those adventurous outdoors type people. If you hike, this especially is your headlamp. Bright, light and durable. Excellent product, for the price its just amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing light I've had this light for a couple months now and have taken it international, as well as peaked a few mountains with it. Great light with awesome spread, and plenty of options. The bright setting lights up the whole trail, and the dimmer works great for reading in the tent. I've gotten it pretty damp as well, and dropped it several times, without any trouble. I was able to use it for about two hours without changing the battery. The only downside that I have found is that when it is packed, the push button on top makes the light come on fairly easy, thus draining the battery. But no worries, just take the batteries out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light in the darkness! I love the Princeton Tec Remix! I loved it so much, I ordered two!! I compared it to many other headlamps. I am a current owner of the BlackDiamond Cosmo, and prefered the Remix because its lumens are phenomenal for its size, and it comes is three options: the white/red led, the white/green led, and the white/white led. I chose the red option because red light is so much easier on the eyes at night and preserves night vision. So it's good to have both options. Very happy with the product! ,,And p.s, Princeton Tec will fix it if anything goes wrong with it! LIFETIME WARRANTY fellas!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's a well made headlamp, but would be nice if it were brighter. I recently bought this headlamp because I had heard that Princeton Tech made some of the best headlamps. Overall the light is very well made, durable, and has a good battery runtime, but my one complaint is that it lacks the power to throw its beam out much further than about 20 ft. Because of this reason I have since returned the headlamp and have purchased a Fenix LD20 which produces over 200 lumens. This coupled with their headband has worked much better than the Princeton Tech Remix. Not saying its a bad light at all, but it just didn't fill my needs properly like the Fenix.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really enjoy using this head lamp but can't trust it in a back pack, fine in a box I use a head lamp almost daily. This headlamp is convenient to use and very comfortable. The light is as bright as the specs say and the distance is as far.My only issue is the on/off switch found on the top of the lamp. When thrown in a jacket pocket or bag it is too easily depressed then the battery is wasted and you are blinded when you open your bag or pocket.(You also look strange with a light on in your pocket.)The only thing you need is a case to pop it in where it won't get knocked about and depressed on accident and you are golden. It is a good lamp though. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This headlamp gets the job done at a low price and is brighter than most. There is not much to say other than that it does its job well and at this price you can't beat it. The light seems sturdy enough to take a beating but is light and small enough to throw in the pack for all adventures. Similar lumen ratings from other companies will cost double the money and I can't find any other company offering the same burn time within the same price range. I have the red LED version and one strange point is that the red LED's turn on by default and the white LED mode must be switched on. This is not a big deal but it seems a bit backwards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great head lamp but needs a flash/strobe mode For casual use, car camping etc. it's the best but it lacks two things for me to rely on it in the back country. First is the lack of a strobe/flash mode, which many times is what rescue units spot when looking for lost campers/hikers. Open the battery door it's just plastic on plastic, no seal at all, not even an o-ring. In fact you can see the batteries through the gaps in the battery door.,,,,Sure I'm going to take a backup light anyway, but still I want my primary light to be sealed and have an sos/flash mode, even if I never have to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once you've used this light, you will be unable to live without it This lamp changed my life. Forget backpacking - this thing never leaves my bedside when I'm at home. ,,,,Indispensable for:,,-backpacking/camping,,-mid-night bathroom runs,,-trying to find that earring that fell to the bottom of my closet drawer,,,,It's super-lightweight. Multiple brightness settings ensure you'll find just the right amount of light for what you're doing (and not to mention - save batteries).,,,,Only headlamp that could possibly compete with this one would be the black diamond spot headlamp - but it's bulkier to pack.,,,,
