Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular...worth the price and weight! This thing will burn whatever you put in it. I could only get "lamp oil" (I think it was a combination of animal fat and used motor oil) while in a desert that was below sea level a few months ago (and no brush to even consider making a fire), it was able to boil water and cook goat meat just fine. I had a very sooty pan afterwards, but I was fed and watered! Likewise, back on this continent, it works perfectly on frozen Adirondack peaks at 4800+ feet above sea level and I'm sure it will work much higher too. It comes with an assortment of nozzles for varying fuel types and altitudes which I always keep with me in the pouch, especially when I don't know what kind of fuel I may find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable fire in the freezing cold, when canisters wont work Jan 2011, Mt. Washington N.H - Subzero temps, 4 days playing on the mountain, this stove breakfast, lunch, dinner everyday, boiling water, melting snow, making coffee for the team. They say it burns almost everything, I know it burns Coleman (Naphtha) and works with jetboil cannisters when not cold. It's a jet engine when you need it, and can be tamed down to simmer. I used Jetboil pots with it, It's reliable and it's my new go to stove for winter camping and mountaineering. If you play where it's too cold for canisters this is the stove for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable and powerful High quality in all aspects; the feel of this product is better than most other stoves. It is rugged and dependable yet, unlike some other powerful stoves, it has a simmer control and actually works fine to cook more advanced dishes with. The pump feelsvery solid. I have used it both with gas and with primus power fuel and much prefer the second option since the power of the gas decreases as the level of gas decreases, you simply dont get the full output throgh the whole cannister. Therefore, use primus power fuel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily best stove on the market! If I had to choose only one stove it would be this Optimus Multi-fuel. ,,,,- Very low simmer ability for delicate things,,- Will burn just about anything canister gas to jet fuel,,- Despite other reviews you can use this on canister gas in very cold weather. Just invert the canister so it is drawing liquid fuel. Use mine on subzero trips.,,- Unlike inflexible MSR fuel lines this one is not stiff at all. You can position it however you like.,,- Well built and stable for even your heaviest pot or even cast iron skillet,,- You can use the include liquid fuel jet (0.37mm) for both canister gas and white gas and go back and forth without having to change or adjust anything on the stove. I like that the fuel line adapts to cans and fuel pump with no change over required,,- Remove the burner from the base and you can use it in a Trangia stove kit (with Optimus adapter) extending the range of you alcohol stove.,,,,- only gripe is Primus service kits are overpriced and lacking in all parts needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use this stove all the time!! I use this slove all the time. It always fires up easily. I sometimes even use it at home to cook outside on the back deck in the summer so i don't have to turn on the stove in the house. It's a little on the heavy side but build like a rock.
