The brown pants have skinnier legs than the khakis.. so keep that in mind depending on how you like to wear your pants. Khaki's almost seem baggy in a way and the browns fit almost like skinny jeans. Either way you can move in them! Best pants ever.
Material is durable and has a small amount of spandex that allows it to stretch when needed. Pants are lightweight and had a small amount of water resistance. I'll be using them for warm weather hiking but probably would require a base layer underneath if your in cooler temps and not on the move.
What can I say these pants are great for just about everything. Been climbing, hiking, walking and lounging in these for the last 3 months and they have held up great. The only downside is that in some areas the pants have started to have some minimal pilling. Could be from the dyer or from rubbing on indoor climbing holds. Either way will most likely buy another pair soon!!!
I love these, wear them all the time. My wife hates them because I love to roll up the pant legs so they are like a pair of knickers and she thinks I look stupid but I don't care. They are just comfortable and can be worn in all types of weather and have held up well to many hiking trips.
I first tried these pants at the end of 2013 on the recommendation of our rock climbing guide (thanks, Tony!) and they have quickly become my go-to pants for outdoor activities. I can't yet speak to their long-term durability (I have only been using them on weekends for a few months) but I can say that they do well against scrapes and punctures. They fit me quite well, and I love the stretch: it lets me move around freely without my pants being baggy. I am 6'0" 170 pounds. I typically wear a 32 waist with a belt, 32 inseam relaxed fit, and the medium 32 inch inseam in these pants fits great. I do need to cinch down the belt a bit, but not enough to make the waist wrinkle and rub under my hiking pack waist belt or climbing harness.
"Comfortable and great for many weathers"
I wore these all day during a 75 degree day at the sad boulders in bishop. I also wore them at night when the temperature dropped to around freezing. They are magically warm and cool when you need them to be. Very durable, as well. They show no sign of wear after years of sport climbing. However, I did manage to tear them a little when they got caught in my bike chain (that's my fault, not the pants'). The sizing is weird though. I wear a men's 32W and 34L and the mediums are absurdly large through the waist. They only stay on if I tighten the built-in belt all the way.
"Great for the Clmbing, Hiking, lounging or walking on the beach"
I love these pants.I have used them at my local indoor climbing gym and they are so comfortable and have great stretch.I have used them for hiking and again I love the stretch and feel.THe fact that you can roll the bottom and snap them to the pant leg works awesome when climbing and while at the beach.
"Do they make your butt look big? No, actually they make your butt look bad ass!! ( no pun intended.)"
These pants are awesome. So awesome that I own three pair of them. I use them for hiking, climbing, kayaking... Bottom line is if I'm playing outside, these are the pants I'm wearing. They are a bit on the pricy side, but as the old saying goes "You get what you pay for." And you get a lot out of these pants.
The stretch Zion fabric is awesome! Most pants are tight on my thighs but the fit & stretch ability of these pants make them comfortable as heck. I liked my first pair so much that I bought a second pair with my reward points.
These are my favorite around the town and around the hills pants. They resist staining very well due to a scotch guard finish and they look great. The integrated belt is a nice touch, although I do wish they had included belt loops.
I wear these pants almost everyday. I ended up with three pair of them and am probably going to get more. Super comfortable and very stretchy but look like normal slacks. The buttons to keep your legs rolled up are not needed. They run a little big. I normally wear a large in all of pranas other stuff I wore a medium in these. The large was HUGE
