The Prana Men's Stretch Zion Short is a nylon hiking short for exploring the outdoors. The fabric is 97% nylon and 3% spandex, allowing you to move without restriction to the next mile marker. The heat of summer can have you sweating profusely along the way, but the Stretch Zion combats this by wicking moisture away from your skin and drying quickly. The inseam gusset is ventilated to keep you cool and simultaneously providing space. The twelve inch inseam (size medium) stops at the knee for comfort throughout an active summer. An internal belt cinches at the waist and stays out of the way of your harness on a climbing day. The multiple pockets allow you to carry the essentials, so you can ditch the pack on quick hikes. Just don't forget the water.

Different from previous yearI originally bought the previous year's model from somewhere else. It became my favorite pair of shorts to climb in and everything. So I had no qualms with picking up this year's version. However, it seems a bit different. The material is softer, but still strong. But the really big issue I have is that this year's model fits me just a bit bigger. I don't know if I just happen to have gotten one that was made incorrectly to size, or if they decided to give more room for us guys. I was tempted to return it, but since I love the stretch Zion so much, I decided to keep it anyway just so I can have a backup pair.

Go to hiking/climbing/casual shortsThese are awesome enough shorts that once I got my first pair, I immediately got three more for the summer. While they are a bit on the more expensive side, I have never had a pair of shorts that offered the same flexibility and comfort (particularly in hot climates). I'm 6'4", 200 lbs, with a 33" waist the medium in these shorts fits perfectly. These really are a jack-of-all-trades piece of kit that look good enough to wear around town while being functional/durable enough to tear it up on a hike. Definitely worth the investment.

Climbing GoTo ShortsiesIf you own anything from Prana you are probably of the opinion they make quality product, I would agree. These shorts stretch good, they have a nice extra pocket on the leg (although I'm afraid something will fall out of it if I left the side zipper on it open). The built in belt hasn't slipped on me at all and keeps my pantalones right where I need them. If I'm climbing in the sun and my wife has done the laundry, I have these on.,,,,Con: Pricey, but not that pricey for the product you get, if you have the $$$

Awesome shorts, to bad they're priced so high.I was lucky enough to find a pair of these in the grey color on sale and bought them. Not disapointed, they are everything all the great reviews say they are. Great fit, nice stretch, breathable, and stylish. So far they seem to be pretty durable also. I like these so much I just purchased the brown color at full price. I'm 5'10, 175lbs with a 32in waist and the medium fits perfect. The short hits right at or slightly below the knee. I just wish they were a little cheaper.

Awesome, comfortable shorts for adventurous or casual occasionsThe stretch element of the shorts provides a light comfortable fit. The flexibility makes them good for day hikes, biking, or just walking around town. I haven't got them wet yet, but the material is breathable and feels like it would dry quickly, even if you jumped into a nearby lake. Another great feature is the built in waste strap. With an easy pull, the shorts can be adjusted to fit as you wish. Really, a belt is only necessary if you want to go the extra 34 inches. The Prana Stretch Zion's also look really nice for everyday use. I use them as my primary around town pair of shorts. I honestly use them more in casual settings, and will as long as they stay new and nice. When the inevitable ketchup spill (or who knows what) happens, they will convert to my primary outdoor adventure shorts and I will buy another pair.

Perfect for climbing! These shorts have just the right amount of stretch to be a versatile garment for climbing and other outdoor activities. They are truly comfortable and I've found myself wearing them on a daily basis besides for outdoor adventures. The side zip pockets allow you to keep secure your wallet/phone or whatever is needed. These are a little pricey for shorts, but I will still buy another pair when these shorts finally disintegrate from being worn so much.

Comfortable. Cool Pockets! The zipper pocket running down your left leg, it's pretty sweet. Say for example you put you keys in there, zip it up. All is well until you sit down. What a weird angle to unzip and retrieve those keys... but, wait! There's another convenient zipper perfect for accessing that exact little pocket. How convenient. ,,,,Oh and also, the shorts are oh so comfortable and feel very durable as well. I have yet to take them on any of my many adventures though.

Awesome shorts, too pricey.I got these shorts a couple weeks ago, and I must say they are by far my favorite shorts to date. They are pretty durable having withstood some pretty intense wear and tear and coming out virtually unscathed. They are lightweight and pretty quick drying.,,While the size I ordered was slightly large for me the built in belt easily cinches the shorts to the right size. As Lenard would say, "I recommend these shorts."
