"Just bring an extra pair of shorts" 04/29/12
I was skeptical when I ordered the convertibles since I had owned a different brand of convertible pants and was not satisfied. When I received these in the mail and put them on immediately to see if the zipper connecting the pants was heavy and irritating, it was not and continues to remain comfortable. These are excellent for when the day starts out chilly and ends up warming up.

Yes it is true, these pants are the love of my life. I keep touching them to make sure they are still on my legs. The comfort and quality of these pants are top of the line. The material is fantastic and can't be beat. These pants stretch and move along with you during your activities. They provide your legs with just the right amount of space, not tight fitting. nor extremely baggy. The fit around a shoe is superb as well. To sum it up, buy these pants (hopefully your size is right) and you will not be let down.

I bought these pants not too long ago and absolutely love them. I was concerned on how they were going to feel with a water resistant coating on them, but after wearing them... They might be the most comfortable pants I own. They are simply amazing. I went for a 4 day hike with them in wet/raining conditions. After hiking for hours, brushing up against wet leaves, etc. I was still dry. I even skipped putting on my rain pants during a quick shower and the rain just rolled off. The price tag is a bit much but they are worth every cent! I'll be buying a second pair.

Yeah, they are breathable, fast drying, stretchy, etc.. That's all up there in the description. Real-world, these pants are truly addicting! I have retired my mountain biking shorts, my yoga pants, and my favorite 10-yr old convertible pants in favor of these. Last year I took a nasty whip while climbing that tore my shirt halfway off but the pants came through without a scratch...just some red mud from sitting down to recover. The zippers sometimes get caught under my knee when placing a foot extremely high, but otherwise they have got to be the most comfortable things I've ever had on my lower body..

I know the sticker price is high but trust me they are worth every penny. These bad boys don't even have a scratch after about 10 miles of bushwacky, prickly, hiking/climbing. Turning them into a short it very convenient. The Zion pant is so bad ass I can't help but get upset whenever my pair are in the wash!
