Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Monitor, Not so good strap. I've used and abused this model for about 3 years. About a year in I noticed some cracking in the band. Another two years later it finally broke. I have owned several Polar monitors in the past and never had this problem. I also used the receiver as my everyday watch, and wore it nearly 24/7 (even in the shower). Overall this is a good training tool, with some great features and I feel is a great value in the Polar product line up. I'd be more upset about the band breaking if Polar wasn't so good with repair and customer service. I can't complain with that at all. As a matter of fact I'm replacing my old RS300X with a new RS300X thanks to Polar's trade in program. I plan to use it ONLY for training and not as my everyday time piece. Maybe it'll last a little longer that way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product but problem with the strap I had a polar RS300x and I love it! except the strap! I changed it two times and it's broken again! It's impossible to keep it in one piece! Why polar dosen't change this strap and make a better one? I bought my polar in France and I live now in Canada (Québec), so how can I do to change my strap here? I live close to Trois-Rivières. Thank you in advance for your help and to answer to my review. I am so disapointed with this...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from get's 'er done This is a good hear rate watch overall. Personally mine has trouble picking up my heartrate some time (I doubt I am actually dead) but I use it almost ever workout. The orange is very orange which I enjoy but am not able to wear on a daily basis to work/hanging out/whatever else since the watch is pretty big. ,,Hear rate moniters rock my world though! There are such a great addition to training!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good device, terrible strap This was my first polar product that I received as a gift. I use the watch maybe once a week; what I would consider a light to moderate use for a device like this. While the actual device/computer is functional, the strap really brought down my review of this watch. It becomes very brittle over time and breaks. Not very impressed considering this was (at the time) a pretty expensive purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from RS300X loses HRM signal I've had the RS300X for a year or so and while it can generally detect the HRM initially, it loses the HRM signal every few minutes. I've tried every corrective action suggested by the manufacturer but none of them have resolved this problem. The HRM functionality is the reason I bought this watch, and without that functionality, this watch is useless to me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality issue w/ strap I am an avid Polar fan and long term user; Polar has accompanied me on marathon training. RX300 was my third Polar. It does the job technically, but the strap has been made with the wrong material and just breaks down too fast. Becomes brittle over time and I really tried to hang on to it as long as I could (see picture), but it it time for a new one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good watch, terrible after sale (wrist strap) The RS100, RS200 and RS300x black/orange models need to be returned to a Polar service centre for replacing and sealing as the wrist strap and case are a single component piece. I just call to the local dealer and they say that is too older so then can't do anything.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cool for the nonhealthfreakbutIlike2sweat person. If you don't need trophies to prove you've been working out, but you do like to keep track of how high you get your heart rate and sometimes know how many calories you've burned, it's cool. The orange one is a bit flashy, but the black one is a bit more subtle.
