The SoftBottle with Closure Cap by Platupus is a revolution in the making. Well- at least a Hydration revolution. There's not a hard bottle out there that's cleaner, greener, and more flexible than a Platypus SoftBottle. Each one comes with Platy's Clean-Taste Guarantee and it's made with zero BPA. The SoftBottle is greener, because it's ultra-reusable and lightweight, it uses less energy and materials. Finally, your SoftBottle defines flexible. It fits in a drink holder, a round pocket, a flat pocket, or any hand. When empty, it rolls up and fits anywhere you want it to fit. Plus, it weighs 80% less than hard hydration bottles.Available with Closure Cap or Platy's new dual-valve HyperFlow Cap.

"A great space saver!" 02/14/13
This is a great space saving water bottle. I always have a liter sized Nalgene wide mouth bottle when backpacking, and now I have two of these to bring extra water. You can squeeze out the air as you use the water up and pack it away. Another idea...I used it to bring some wine out backpacking. Just pour a glass and squeeze out the air and pack away until you want another glass...no wasted space. Excellent item.
"Awesome stow-able bottle!" 11/29/12
Use this softbottle to carry extra water in the daypack and use instead of hard-sided containers like Nalgene bottles.Have used it extensively over the last year - buying a couple more this year.Pros:- Flexible even when it is full, so getting into packs is simple- Folds down to nothing when empty - great to bring along as an extra water vessel backpacking, etc.Cons:- Slightly hard to clean the bottom inside corners (even with a hydration brush/snake). If you have anything with sugar inside the bottle, you'll need to clean it soon after use.
"Solid water sack" 08/09/12
My 1L bag holds up extremely well. I've had 1 for over a year of regular use and it still works. Cap is easy to screw on and stays closed. Takes some coordination to drink out of (floppy when full) but works. Highly recommend.
"The New Standard in Ultralight" 08/03/12
Love these bottles. Weigh next to nothing, stand up when full, and fit in the side pockets of my Exos 34 pack (I use them in side pockets upside down with Platy drinking tube kit). Love how I can use the Platy Gravityworks filter to filter directly into these bottles...leave the heavier clean bag at home. Not as easy to clean as wide mouth bottles, but the pros easily outweigh the one con.
"Light/Durable" 03/06/12
This is a great small water bottle, it is very lightweight and its design allows it to fit comfortably in a back or cargo pocket. Bear in mind this is a small water bottle, not a great fit for a long day unless you carry two. Overall this is a great lightweight product.
"Moosejaw customer service is the BEST EVER!!!" 08/12/11
I ordered one of these and when I went to throw it into my backpack it squired all over. The bottle had some gaps where the seal meets the top. I contacted Moosejaw and they gave me a free return label to return the faulty one and then they sent the replacement RIGHT away! I had an email saying it was shipped before I even managed to get the bad one in the mail to them! Fantastic:) Once I got the replacement I filled it, screwed the top on and squeeeezed the sucker. No leaks on this one:) I really like that it's light and once the water is gone it rolls up nice and small.
"Amazing Product!" 07/10/11
definitely the best way to stay hydrated on the trail! You can squeeze the whole contents into your mouth in one gulp in a matter of seconds. Can be heated or frozen, and best of all folds up to fit in any pocket or compartment.
"Drop Some Dead Weight and Go Platy" 02/26/11
I am a gram-counting nut when it comes to my backpacking gear. When I first went ultralight, I weighed all my gear and entered the weights into a spreadsheet. I found that my old Nalgene bottle and hydration bladder accounted for almost a pound of my pack weight EMPTY. Now I use 1L Platy bottles, which weigh only 1.2 oz each on my scale. They have proven to be durable and easy to use. They fold up small when empty and I really don't miss sucking on the hose of the hydration bladder when backpacking. I prefer the screw tops to the bite valves on my Platy bottles because the bite valves get dusty on the trail in my external pack pockets. Go Platy!
