Fashion or function? You have to choose one.I was looking for a good quality baby backpack carrier for hikings at weekends. This Phil&Teds Escape caught my eyes with it's fashionalbe design - It is totally different than any other baby carrier on the market,,,,Shipping was fast. I used it the first weekend. My thoughts: yes it looks very good. However, it scarifices many functions for the look: no pocket on the shoulder strapes; only one small pocket on the belt, which does not even fit a smartphone; sun shade is hard to store or install, and it is a hassle to use the safety belt! Osprey poco is far better in any of those aspects. The good thing is the escape comes with a removeable day pack, it costs more if you want to get the same thing on Osprey poco. ,,,,BTW, the marketing department of this brand really SUCKS! It is hard to find any detail review or introductions online, let alone videos.,,,,Does the Phil&teds escape looks good? Yes, abosolutely. Will I choose a Osprey poco or Kelty over it if I were to decide again? Yes.
