I have hated every single helmet I have worn but when I started getting into more advance route I decided my brain was WAY more important that comfort so I broke down and purchased this helmet. My feelings on helmets changed as soon as I put this one on! It is super comfortable, light weight and very breathable. I love how it adjusts on the side so that it does not eat or pull out your hair. The fact that it looks good and still feels/fits great makes it a fantastic product in my book.
This helmet is light and breathable, making it perfect for multi pitch climbs. The back is designed so you can keep your hair pulled back which is a must for me. Headlamp compatible for any night climbing you might find yourself doing. My only issue was that I felt like it was really difficult to fit comfortably to my head, really had to battle with the thing. After I finally got it adjusted properly, it did end up fitting well. I would recommend this helmet to anyone.
Look, I think any helmet is better than no helmet, so buy whichever one you like best. What I like about this one is that it's easy to adjust and it accommodates a ponytail. That's maybe a sort of silly thing, because the pony tail thing is not making it better at protecting my head, but it does mean I'm more likely to wear it. I've had this one for a couple climbing seasons and it's holding up well. I did get hit once by a falling rock (true!) and my head was unscathed, but it has protected me equally well from falling acorns and caterpillars.
When you look for a helmet for climbing you want something adjustable (obviously a helmet that was around your neck would do you no good), breathable, and lightweight. As the description mentions this helmet is very lightweight. I practice mostly sport on chausy (spelling?) climbs where there is most likely going to be shit breaking off (notice the bad ass mo fo description) so it comes in handy in situations like that. I also tend to take new people outside to see how big their balls are and it's good to have a helmet that easily fits everyone when they take "practice" 15 foot whippers. Great product overall.
