The Women's Elia Climbing Helmet by Petzl. The ELIA helmet was designed and developed to respond specifically to the needs of women. The innovative OMEGA headband system (Petzl patent) allows the helmet to be put on and removed easily and offers maximum comfort. "Fits soooo well!" 04/30/12
I highly recommend this helmet! It's comfortable, has good ventilation, and most importantly, it fits women's lower volume heads soo well! I could never get the Elios or other "unisex" helmets to fit correctly, but this one (when adjusted properly) stays perfectly atop my head when I move and tilt it. I can also fit a beanie and balaclava under it in colder temps. I have the light gray helmet which looks great and isn't too girly.

I love this helmet. Enough said. But to elaborate, the colors are awesome (I have the sky blue one), keeps me alive, allows for my hair to ponytail nicely, it fits very well. I ALWAYS have trouble making helmets, hats, headbands, etc. fit my head, but this helmet adjusts in so many places that it was no issue. Besides that, people always compliment me on it. Even in the places where none of the cool kids wear their helmets. Would definitely recommend this helmet!
"Awesome helmet, perfect fit with adjustable straps" 11/28/11
This helmet is everything I expected and more. I knew it had adjustable straps and a spot for a ponytail but I did not realize it was adjustable to the point where it literally fits perfectly. I would say it fits like a glove but we all know gloves don't necessarily fit well and we don't wear them on our heads... anyway this helmet is great. I have it in white and it matches all of my gear so obviously that is the most important. It isn't super durable like a motorcycle helmet but it has managed fine through a few decent 30 foot lead falls. Lighter than I expected.Great helmet overall.

This helmet fits perfectly! I have had several helmets, and this Elia helmet is super comfortable and such a great fit. The pony tail holder also makes it comfortable and easy to wear throughout the day. I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone looking to stay safe when climbing!

The helmet fits perfectly, it is extremely lightweight, doesn't pull the hair, and doesn't slip. The clips work great to hold on a headlamp and the helmet can definitely sustain a beating. I use it for caving and climbing and it's great! When the helmet gets wet, the green pads in side can actually be removed (and washed if you so desire). I would definitely recommend this product. (Also, if you want to make people jealous, you can get the hot pink petzl headlamp to match it)

My girlfriend got this for her ponytail expeditions and we go canyoneering / climbing avidly. She said it is perfect. Lightweight, strong, and goes over her hair which sounds like a good idea? I got the men's version of this for myself called the Elios and it is SOLID. So I assume the Elia is amaze-ballz as well!

Got this the other day, pulled it out the box, put it on, fit it and could barely tell it was there. The ponytail thing is genius and I couldn't be happier. Going to do some rappelling with it right away!
"Perfect womens helmet" 12/15/10
This is basically the elios for women. The reason to buy this helmet is the adjustment system. Petzl has change the knob on the elios into sliders on either side of the elia. This let them change the back to allow for a ponytail without trying to rip off your hair. scalp, ect. System works great! You'll forget you're even wearing a helmet.
