The VERSO by Petzl is a simplified version of the REVERSO offering a lighter and more compact option for climbers looking to further reduce the weight/size of their rack of gear. The asymmetrical V-shaped grooved friction channels adapt the friction for better control using our ARC (Adaptive Rope Control) technology.

great starter belay device very easy to use and safe i will be upgrading to a grigri soon but for a starting device you cant go wrong with this.

"Good tube style belay device"  02/01/10

Can wear out quicker than others, but it's really light. If you got $10 more, get the reverso 3 so you can multi-pitch.Kind of a pain on the thicker ropes with heavier climbers, I prefer the ATC guide for those.

Doesn't bind up like the cheap madrock belay I had before. Looks snazzy and it's light and cheap. I'll always have one of these.
