This pulley is one of the best pulleys for the price i have seen. Its quick to setup and use for emergence situations.

Not the greatest pulley, but its not designed to be. I give it a "love it" because it does exactly what its designed to do. its a backup. and its super lightweight.

"It's ok, but in no way takes place of a real pulley" 10/28/10

This device is ok in a pinch, or in the case of wanting to severly drop weight, but to be honest, the effort put into using it could be better spent on carrying a pulley. If you are going to be hauling loads multiple times then it is worth it to just get a lightweight pulley. These things work best with a large oval carabiner as an offset D or other shape will cause it to slip and bind. It also requires constant rope tension in order to keep the rope lined up or else it will pop off easily needing adjustment.
