Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brightening the darkness of Machu Picchu Looking for light in all the wrong places, I've purchased several flashlights and torches assuming that more money meant better results. This head lamp is both inexpensive AND well-made, completely disproving all my previous theories on cost/quality relations. I bought it for use hiking Machu Picchu, and this was of the utmost use at camp every night. It offers two light settings (ostensibly, high and medium), and an adjustable strap. The best part, of course, is hands-free maneuvering, so I had both my paws free to pet the local alpacas, when they let me. And batteries are included, which is always a lovely surprise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Little Headlamp This is a great headlamp. With batteries installed, it weighs only 2.82 ounces. The low setting is adequate for most uses around the house, and when the batteries start to decline, or if you need brighter light, there is the more powerful high setting. The adjustable tilt feature is wonderful, and allows you to direct the beam right where you want it. The colors and design are attractive.,,,,I turn off the circuit breaker to my bedrooms at night (to avoid EMFs while sleeping), and use this headlamp to read in bed, and navigate around the house if I get up. I've been using my current one for a couple years, and just ordered two more for spares, because I like it so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived tornado's and lightning storms I got this headlamp about a week before a weekend trip. This was the best thing I have ever purchased for camping! It left my hands free to do important things. To make a long story short it stormed (later we found out that we were under tornado warnings but out in the wilderness you cant hear sirens) and because it stormed I had to continuously fix my rain fly on my hammock, and that is so much easier to do with two hands rather than one hand and a flashlight. This lamp did its job without any problems, even getting drenched couldn't stop it. I would recommend this headlamp to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Durable Inexpensive Headlamp I purchased this light for night running and dog walking. It does an amazing job! It stays put while running and illuminates far enough in front of me (approximately 75 feet) so that I can run at a pretty decent pace on pavement. ,,,,It could be a little brighter for trail running, but it is great for road running and walking the dogs. SO much easier to clean up after the pups without having to hold a flashlight.,,,,All in all a great headlamp for an amazing price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent option at a great price. I used this lamp this last weekend on a camping trip. It feels sturdy and definitely outputs enough light to get around in a dark campsite. I didn't find the low-light mode to be entirely useful but it could be if you required use of a dimmer light for an extended period of time (as a night light for example).,,,,This isn't the brightest headlamp out there, but for this price, you'll be hard pressed to beat it.,,,,I will definitely continue using my Tikkina 2!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I have the older version of this headlamp which I purchased for myself maybe two years ago and its still going strong. I thought that this would make a great birthday present for my 11 year old brother. He is very active in Boy Scouts and loves it! (surprised he didn't say, where are my Legos) : ) Petzl makes great products and this should last him a good while. Very pleased with this product and so is my brother!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headlamp I just got this headlamp for a camping trip, and it worked great!! The other people there who didn't have one wanted to borrow it and all liked it also. ,,,,The high setting is good for illuminating a large area. Then the economic mode is nice so that you don't blind people. The ability to tilt the light is a nice feature, and the fact that it comes with batteries is an added bonus as most things do not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth WAY more than you pay for it Used this for the first time camping this weekend and it was perfect. Super bright for only being $20 and my boyfriend was so jealous that we had to go out and buy him one. Unfortunately it wasn't from Moosejaw.. but mine is! Don't spend more money than you have to.. this one is perfect! Use it for camping, hiking, nighttime running, finding things under the bed, and surviving power outages.
