"very good lamp" 08/17/10
I pretty much agree with what all the other reviews said about this headlamp. My only real complaint though is that the lens changing system sucks. I love having a red light at camp, but unfortunately you can only have one lense in this at a time, which means you can either have the clear diffuser for a wide beam, or a colored lens. You cant use both. It does have a holder for an extra lens on the headband, but its not really a quick and easy process to do in the dark while you are hiking. you need to stop, and you need to make sure you dont drop one of the lenses... its just annoying to have to change lenses. The Tikka plus adapt system its much better designed
"Cool light with lots of extras" 08/15/09
I got this light to replace my ancient halogen light. Cool features: You dont have to cycle through all of the light levels just to get to the red/colored setting. With this light you just reach up and slide the interchangeable lense over, quick and easy! No more messing up your night vision trying to cycle to your red setting! Another cool feature is you dont have to cycle through all of the modes to turn the light off either! I think this is the coolest feature of them all. You just cycle through until you get your desired light level and then after having the light on for about 30 seconds if you push the button again it just turns off.
"versatile" 06/06/07
very versatile head lamp... nice and bright, yet still light weight and very long run time.... my niece turned it on and left it.... it sat there all day on high and it was still bright when i got home two days later.... had to buy a second adapt system too though.... the helmet mount is great for my hard hat at work!
