The Swivel S by Petzl is a ball bearing swivel, positioned between the rope and the load, the swivel allows the load to turn without twisting the rope.

This product is pretty expensive, but it is so smooth and doesn't rust. It's a great swivel.

"Awesome smooth rolling bearings and puts a nice 'spin' to your stage show in aerial arts." 04/15/10

I used this for a show with the lyra (ring) and it raised me and my partner with ease. And I love the smooth bearing action, no rubbing and if you want to spin like the devil without fear, get one of these.Shadow

"A nice luxury on big walls" 12/18/07

A very nice luxury to have when doing big walls to keep your rope from getting twisted. Speed is safety and if you have to keep untwisting your ropes you are not moving fast.

"Definately worth it." 07/13/07

Though, I've never used this model in particularly. It's still a very nice item for mobile rock walls. Kids aways fall off and spin around. Makes for easy connecting to the kids too. Helps to eliminate cable twists.
