Petzl Spirit Express 17cm Anodized Quickdraw

The Spirit Express 17cm Anodized Quickdraw by Petzl uses notchless keylock gates on both carabiners to make clipping both the bolt and the rope incredibly easy and fast. The Quickdraws bent gate has a large opening to allow fast clips from desperate stances. A tough nylon webbing with bar-tacked sewing offers 22kN breaking strength. Petzl string end cap holds bent-gate carabiner in proper orientation while also protecting a high-wear area of the sling. Sometimes when I’m bored I put my index finger around one of the carabiners and spin it around my head like a helicopter, not like the rap song though, I’m not that into rap.

Yes they are great. I wish I had more of these and less of others in my rack (just bought a few more). They are not the lightest quickdraws out there, but they feel great and are very confidence inspiring gear. Also you look very cool with them on your gear loops.

"Durable, great gat action and solid dogbone" 06/16/12

I reach for these every time I climb. On trad routes I use these near the bottom because I know they are solid and are easy to clip. I like the thickness of the dog-bone because it never twists. The carabiners are one of the only to my knoweldge that offer a 3 year guarantee. I also have used them for setting up top ropes and have had no problems.

Buy the draws you want... no need to upgrade ever!This draw is:- Smooth (CLIPPING!!!!! *CLICK*)- Firm (wont twist on you)- Colorful (if you can see colors)This draw isn't:- Light Weight (who really cares though? you climb... you're leading... you're super strong!)

"Spirit Express 17cm!!!" 05/14/12

Petzl is the best at everything they do!The ease of the action on the biners and the rigidity offered by the bones on this make for super easy clipping when you need it most. the dog bone on the Spirit Express is solid and hardly ever twists around.The feel of climbing this quickdraw along with small details like the tiny gate grooves make this one of the best quickdraws out there!

"Best Draws i have used" 06/15/11

These draws perform the way you would expect them too. defiantly worth the extra money over standard draws as they last twice as long. aside from the durability, the sling on this draw is easy to hold and the rubber on the bottom never slips for super easy clipping. the carabieners them selves have smooth gates so they are easy to clip.

"The Bentley of quickdraws" 04/29/11

In as much as a quickdraw can, the Spirits exude luxury. The gate action is ultra smooth, the keyed nose prevents snags, and the dogbone is just stiff enough to make clipping a breeze. Maybe it's just in the Southeast, but it seems like every serious climber I've met near steep sandstone crags uses these as protection for maximum-intensity races against the pump clock. Sport is about the moves, not the protection; having these solid quickdraws on your harness will help keep your mind and body secure.

"hands down, best draws out there." 04/04/11

i deliberated about the cost of these things for a while, but eventually i decided to take the plunge, and every time i use'em i'm totally happy i did. petzl is the best. the best at everything they do. the dog bone is super solid and hardly ever twists around. the rubber fastener keeps your clip nice and still when you're desperate and trying to save yourself before you eat it. and the biner is smooth and has really sharp action. bottom line, if you want peace of mind and a draw that lets you breeze by a bolt, get these. get many.

The best part is that clipping in is easy, and you dont experience any turning of carabiners during any climbs. The rubber stopper is excellent at this!. Perfect

"Best draws out there" 07/26/10

These are the best sport draws out there. When your hands are tiring out, feeling like you are about to take a 20 foot fall, and know you will about to do a desperate clip, these are the draws to have. Your rope will glide right into the carabiner with ease. This quickdraw has such a beefy dogbone so you won't be fiddling around with it spinning on you. When you are ready to clean your over hung project these are also the draws to have. Wont snag on the bolt or your rope with the notchless keylock design.

Does it get any better? The rubber on the rope end biner keeps it from twisting unexpected. Bent gates make it easy to clip and the color coded biners scream at you if you even try to do something wrong with this draw. Unless you want featherweight, quit looking around and click on add to cart.

"THE quickdraw to get!" 05/23/10

I love these quickdraws! I replaced my BD wiregates with these bad boys and LOVE that I did. No more turning on the rope end while clipping because the rubber cover works perfect. VERY solid feel and totally worth the extra couple ounces weight. Get em! You love em too! :)
