"A must iteam for climbing and reppelling"  11/09/11

Must to have for rescue, the only con is that it can not be use with a prusik for a lifting system.Petzl got another pully that can be use with a prusik.

"Its a great pulley, but so was its predescesor. Catch is, this one is better !"  08/09/11

In short this is a great, bombproof, pulley. I once had an experience necking a rope using carabiners on a top-rope setup, so I switched to using the petzle rescue pulley. Its works great ! Because it is a rescue pulley, it has a hole big enough for three carabiners. This is great for a top-rope setup because it allows you to use two for hookup to the anchors, and one to drop down below the biner for the climbing rope to feed through as a backup. I do this simple because I'm paranoid about mechanical devices failing, but this thing is built solid. the older model was great too, but this model has smoother edges, and even smoother feed. Its a two thumbs up for sure.
