"Great Carabiner if you need this funky shape"  12/09/10

...but be careful: At the bottom of the gate is a sharp corner that occasionally will snag on your rope.Otherwise, the rest of the carabiner is smoothly designed. The no snag, keylock nose the Petzl uses is quite swell. This thing opens easily one handed.

"Nice and tricky"  09/29/09

Its a nice and comfortable thing for putting like 10lb of equipment hanging. The only thing that i dont like was that you need to have patience in the moment of trying to open the double lock.

"Great for limited uses"  01/31/08

I'm using it to self belay on wall climbs with a gri-gri. Great design because I don't have to worry about cross loading it if i fall. Smooth action on the locking mechanism.

"If you get the chance to use one you'll want to buy one."  12/30/07

I own one of these so far but just ordered a second. That should tell you something. I've owned my first one for about a year. It is not designed my dirty or muddy environments as the autolocking action will begin to bog down on you. I clean and lubricate mine regularly and it still hesitates. I don't think it's bad enough to fail but it certainly does get your attention. A good habit would be to check it every time anyway. I like using mine with novices so I don't have to worry so much about them forgetting to close it.
