The Men's Gym Climbing Harness by Petzl is a light weight and compact adjustable harness for novices and group programs. Basically the Gym is the Pandion without the gear loop.

"Great Harness"  08/26/11

I work for a camp in michigan and we use these EVERYWHERE. They are really easy and quick to put on, but if you aren't wearing some jeans or heavy duty material, do not put these on. It hurts when you repel. The hinder binders could be better but you should also make the thing pretty freaken tight. I made a belt out of one we retired, and I feel like a badass sometimes when I wear it... And the auto double backing feature is nice, except when campers pull them all the way out...

"Durable, but not so comfy."  03/19/11

it's about what you would expect. Very strong. Easy to put on and take off. The belay loop style is very easy to use. Straps adjust quickly. And it's very strong. Downside is it's not all that comfortable and for the money, you can get a much fancier harness from some other reputable brands. If you're loyal to Petzl though, there's nothing wrong with this harness.

"Im fat"  03/14/11

I like this harness I have the pandion which is the same thing but with a gear loop.I dont find it too uncomfortable but maybe I'm just fat. It's easy to figure out, easy to use. I'm not dissappointed.

"it's a gym harness"  04/02/09

These are not comfortable but for a gym harness what can you expect? They work and they last. Super strong and one size fit's nearly all, these things are simple to put on and are very easy to check to see if they are on properly.

Plusses makes sure you don't bite it at the rock gym. Minuses Digs into your thighs like a hot knife through gelato. Good for a rental program I guess but I wouldn't buy one for personal use.

"Not too bad but could probably find a better one for cheaper"  12/01/06

I like this harness except for it does not have any padding. Spending the day at the gym can get hard on the legs. Though, it does have a simple tie in point where you dont have to go though the leg loop and the waist loop. Just one connection point for belaying and tying in. I liked how you dont have to double back on the straps,too. I didn't like that it doesn't have gear hoops but then again... they are not used much at the gym.
