This is a quality harness for the price range. Before buying, I was concerned about sizing; I'm a bodybuilder and have wide quads, but a small waist, and according to the sizing guide for this harness, the small would not fit around my legs. However, most of the reviewers said this haress ran big, and they were right; My legs are just over 23" around, and even though the size small only accommodates up to 22", I bought the small and there was room to spare. This harness does run quite a bit larger than the listed sizing, so if your inbetween sizes and unsure, order one size down! As far as quality, all of the stitching is strong, and though it's quite light, it is a very durable harness.

very solidThis very comfortable harness should definitely be one of your options for your new harness. It has vents on both the waist belt and the leg loops. Although, the venting doesn't make that much of a difference when it is 95 degrees at the crags and you are sweating yourself silly. The gear loops are sturdy and can carrying your rack. The mesh on the inside of the waist belt can be a bit abrasive when climbing without a shirt on, but it all depends on how tightly you wear your harness and where it rests on your hips. The single auto-double-back feature is nice, but if you are between sizes you should go with the smaller size.

Im a convert to PetzlAfter owning 3 BlackDiamond harnesses in the past, I decided to try the Petzl Adjama. After about a full year of climbing 3-5 days per week, Im officially convinced that I will not be going back to BlackDiamond. They make a good harness, but the Petzl blows BD out of the water. This harness has the best ventilation of any harness ive owned. When on a hanging belay for extended periods of time, my legs and feet dont go to sleep. The Adjama is the most comfortable, and lightest harness Ive used. When working my project routes (Upper 5.12s to low 5.13s) I have no idea Im wearing it. Other harnesses ive always been aware of. ,,Overall, best harness Ive used.

My favorite harness yetLove this harness. Have climbed all day in it (including 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell) and seldom even notice I've got it on. Have actually finished a climbing session, and headed to the bouldering room, only to realize I was bouldering with it still in place. The loops rack very nicely for sport and despite numerous long falls, (I have never been pinched in inappropriate places :). My only reservation is that sometimes the buckles are a little difficult to cynch up, would be nice if they were a bit heavier, but then this is designed as a light weight harness. Overall, I would certainly by this again.

Great Sport Harness not so much for tradThis harness is great for shorter sport routes or routes with a few bolts. The harness is light weight and comfy; however, it has a few drawbacks.,,The biggest drawback lies in the gear loops. The loops are tiny and awkward. You'll find yourself wasting energy reaching for draws on a 10 bolt route or having a hard time putting on enough cams to climb a 50+ft splitter. Also, the small sized harness has smaller leg loops which might make it hard for climbers with large legs.,,Look for something with bigger and better designed gear loops for gear heavy routes.,,,,Short Sport A+,,Long Sport B,,Trad D+

I've stopped looking. I'll never find anything better.I'm a weekend warrior- My harness is 3 years old- it's been through hell, and it's held up well. So let's touch on the highpoints: ,,SAFETY- can't be beat- the harness is already double backed for you, and if you don't trust it- let me assure you- I've taken awful, painful, slabby 4 foot falls and 40 foot whippers on it and I've never once had any reason to think about harness failure.,,COMFORT- A lawn chair it ain't, but you can't do better for sport and short multi-pitch. ,,COST- Reasonable- The safety features alone justify the price.,,Durability- Sure enough, all the basic harness retirement rules apply, but even now, I think I'll get another year or so out of it before retirement.,,,,

Adjustable, Light, Petzl! This harness is great! The perforation is great, really helps with nasty back sweat. What girls at the crag like to see dudes with a bunch of back sweat? Not many.,,,,Adjustments are really easy, no need for double backing as Petzl has made this harness for the lazy at heart. I have big legs so being able to adjust the fit is important for me.,,,,The only thing quibble I have with this harness is the gear loops, which tend to sag a little more than I would prefer. My buddies have different brands and they have an easier time clipping/unclipping than me. Really a small issue though.

The only harness I buyThe adjama is a phenomenal harness. I have owned two pairs and both of them have been perfect for long trad multi-pitch routes, gym climbing, and glacier travel. I choose this harness for many reasons over other harnesses especially Black Diamond. Most harnesses such as Black Diamond need to be 'double backed' when tied. Petzl harnesses use a locking system that is much quicker. The adjama overall is a very comfortable harnesses that at times I forget I am wearing because of it's lightness. Try on as many harnesses as you can when purchasing them but make sure to try the adjama.
