The Locker Screw-Lock carabiner by Petzl is very compact and the lightest of all Petzl locking devices. This carabiner was designed for climbing, caving and mountaineering, has a large capacity and wide opening due to its asymmetrical design. Grab the Locker Screw Lock when you need a lightweight and compact locker for long, big climbs. The Manual locking system has a red warning indicator when the 'biner is unlocked so you can keep climbing confidently when you go to double-check your gear. The special compact profile reduces bulk, and just kind of looks cool.

"Mercedes of 'biners"  01/30/12

This is my favorite locker to date. I bought two of these about a year ago, and they're still the best. Easy to tell whether it's locked or not, it's shape means business where the gate opens, and is also light. Get it!! This is definitely on the more expensive end, but if you're willing to pay for the quality you'll be satisfied. End transmission.

"um... most amazing carabiner"  08/29/11

It's really strong. It's certainly the strongest biner I own. I really like the shape. It's all but impossible to crossload. I like it for attaching the rope to a harness. It's really smoothe, really solid. It's perfect. Everyone should get at least one.

"Awesome Biner!"  08/24/11

These are the sexiest locking carabiners I've ever used! The gate is very smooth and the locking mechanism is like butter. They are slightly more expensive than BD and other brand lockers, but the little extra $$ is totally worth it.

"Pretty sweet biner"  01/05/11

My fav belay biner yet. Doesn't seem to flip around as much as any other I've had. The screw lock is super smooth but needs a little extra crank to stay closed. I've gently closed the screw a few times only to later noticed it worked it's self loose while I was belaying. Good thing it's got a big red stripe to let you know if it's not locked.

"Freakin' Awesome Carabiners - You Can't Buy Just One!!"  10/23/10

There's not a whole lot that can be said about most carabiners. That said, these biners ROCK. They are lightweight yet rock solid and durable, plus your woman will think they are pretty. Thanks Petzl for a quality product. I just ordered five more...

"GREAT"  01/28/10

Simply put, the best 'biener I own. I just bought another 6 of these (lost 4 in the Yucatan) and they are used in many applications: locking in a rack, passing gear into a cave, redirects, etc.

"a perfect principal carabiner"  07/24/09

i think this screw-lock carabiner is perfect to join the harness to the any belay system or rappel. Very resistant. And the brand is behind it.
