"Awesome! A llight and a highly proffesional rope which lasts for a long time." 11/06/12
Ive always used Petzl Dragonflyropes as half-ropes, because they last long and they're so light! 3kilos each aint nothing. the thickness of the rope is also pretty good for a half-rope, and it fits all belay and rappell devices. This one I can professionaly guarantee is one good item, and it's my favorite. Plus its very cheap!
"Do not buy." 05/09/12
These ropes are bad. The very first time I used them the sheath tore exposing the core of the ropes. This was from normal wear and tear - no falls or sharp edges. I sent the damaged ropes back to Petzl for warranty and they could not offer me anything; they will not even cover the shipping cost for the return. I now learned that other people have had similar problems with Petzl ropes, so I recommend you avoid Petzl ropes altogether.

"Solid rope - good choice for mountaineering, ice, & long trad climbs" 05/03/12
I've climbed around 30-40 pitches on these ropes (mainly on rock) and have really enjoyed using them. They're about as light as you'll find for half ropes and have an impact factor better than anything on the market aside from Beal's Ice Lines, which made me feel better about tenuous placements when I was running things out. The colors are distinct, which I ended up really appreciating, especially at night, and the mid-point is well marked (although seems to be easily masked after they start picking up dirt, especially on the blue line). If you were going to do it, I'd recommend the 70m setup - can't tell you how many times I've been glad to have it.
"FANTASTIC!! You MUST have these!" 11/29/11
Fantastic!! I've been ice climbing for years and these go above and beyond. The sheath of the rope gives it fast action, doesn't tangle and slides through the carbiners with ease. A MUST have for ice climbing! highly recommend!
"Great rope for ice climbing" 01/03/11
We just used the blue & orange dragonfly ropes on a week long ice climbing trip in Valdez Alaska. These ropes are fantastic! Lightweight & climbing w/ double ropes helps split up the load. After a day of climbing, and splaying them out in a hotel room, they were dry and ready to go the next day. Having the blue/orange combination was super helpful when keeping track of which rope to pull after repelling from a v-thread (I don't know why my other ropes all seem to be the same color). The only slight issue was when the ropes got icy they were stiff and didn't flow as smooth through the belay device. However, this seems to be true of all ropes when ice climbing.
