They're good enough; there's nothing better!They're pretty soft so they don't reduce dexterity and keep you from feeling the rope. They're also pretty thick such that they protect you from the cold and are very durable. I used them regularly (every weekend) climbing at Yosemite last summer on multipitch climbs. They broke in after about two days of use because they started out soft anyway. There's not an equal product out there. Metolius' belay gloves (I own a pair) never broke in; the leather is rigid and too thick. Black Diamond's belay gloves (a friend owns one) are too thin and are not durable.

Comfy, and strongI am one of those guys that likes wearing glove when belaying, makes me feel like I can give a better catch. These gloves do the job very well.

Awesome Product!As a tree climber, these gloves offer excellent grip and slso the capability to tie and untie knots with ease. Highly recommend!
