The Anneau Nylon Sling by Petzl is designed to set up a belay or anchor, or to extend an anchor point. This sewn webbing sling is available in four lengths. The right length will depend on the size of whatever it is you are anchoring it to. The Anneau sling offers a practical solution for the vertical world, exactly what Petzl continues to strive to do.
DECENT FEATURES of the Petzl Anneau Nylon Sling
Decent for setting up a belay or an anchor, or to extend an anchor point
This is not a review of the product since I don't own it, but am considering it. All I wanted to point out was that this runner does not seem to be made of Nylon (as it says in the title) but of Polyester instead. And I don't know how polyester fares for building anchors. There should be some consideration to the runner material when using it for clipping it into an anchor:http://dmmclimbing.com/knowledge/how-to-break-nylon-dyneema-slings/
I got a couple of these bad boys to use as an anchor or for extending my top rope. So far, I've only used them for an anchor system and worked like it should. The pattern was eh.... and would have preferred a less width, but it works for what I need it for. No complaints!
This sling is great. I carry it with me on every climb if you shorten it into an alpine draw it tucks away nicely on my rack and when I need to set anchors it extends to the perfect length. I love the stream line and light characteristics of these slings a must have.
"Okay, but kind of wide and weirdly-sized"

The sizes on this product seem a little weird to me. The width is larger than I expected, and the length isn't really enough to double up through my harness loops. I won't buy this again.

It's a sling.....it works....what more can I really say? I use them for safety lines to clip into when setting top ropes on a tiny ledge in Eugene, OR. I definitely trust my life to this product!
