The AM’D Screw-Lock Carabiner by Petzl is a manual locking multi-purpose carabiner for connecting devices to a harness or to use at the end of a lanyard. Specially adapted for attaching equipment (rope clamps, etc.) with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Recommended for dirty environments where dust and dirt could cause an automatic locking mechanism to malfunction. The Keylock system helps prevent snagging of the carabiner during maneuvers. You are free to get down and dirty with this one, I played volleyball in the mud once in the summer, I think I still have mud in my left ear.

"Simple, Easy to use" 10/10/11
Simple carabiner that feels great. I use these for my top-rope anchor system and have had no problems. The color coating comes off really quick and I'm starting to see a little wear where the rope runs through. I love the red warning sign when the carabiner is not locked. Smooth and would buy more.

i use this guy on my atc and i love it, you can glance down and see that its locked and i dont get cross loaded as often because of the d shape. its also practically bomb proof and super strong, i will definitely be buying more

I bought one of these a while ago and have used it daily, along with climbing. It's awsome so I bought four more, and still love them. I also bought four "comparible" black diamonds, and they blow. I love these carabiners. First off I am a fan of anything Petzl, well almost anything. Second, it is very strong and works great. I climb about 4 times a week on average between gym and outdoors. I use this carabiner mostly for attaching equipment to my belay loop.Great value!

I've been using this baby for a couple months now and really like how it handles my verso and grigri. The red safety line is a nice feature when the screw isn't tightened properly. For anyone that is looking for a great carabiner, look no further. Ferb

its a great carabiner!This carabiner is a lightweight piece.. The gate its so easy to open and very secure (red color indicates if the carabiner is not locked)Besides it works perfect in caves and dirt environments where dust doesnt obstructs locking system
