Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item at a great price! At first I was bit disappointed with Patagonia's fall backpack offerings. Them seemed to have move away from straight-up, designed for the outdoors packs to over priced school book-bags. ,,,,But don't be fooled like I was. ,,,,While they would be perfect as a book-bag for school or collegiate endeavors, they are ready to go outdoors with equal aplumb. Laptop pocket during the week, hydration bladder sleeve complete with external tube port on the weekends! There are a few internal pockets for organizing things like a cell phone, wallet & keys, but the outside slash sleeve and water bottle pockets keep it real for weekend day hikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing for the Sale Price I bought this bc I was going on a trip and needed a backpack that wasn't the North Face I've been using since 9th grade. I would have kept on using it except for the fact that I needed a backpack to carry around some very expensive camera equipment and wanted something more water proof. I'm petite so I also needed something compact that wouldn't tip me over and this was definitely the ticket. I'll be honest, though, it was the price that really sold me. I had casually shopped for other comparable packs and everything else was way more expensive. I wish they'd show you a pic of the inside (hint hint Moosejaw) but it really is great -- a million smartly designed compartments and pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great things come in small packages I bought this backpack to use for everyday collegeness. I hate big, bulky backpacks, so I went w/ this small gem of a pack. Its quite compact, but offers ample room for binders, laptop, books, & even my lunch bag. On days requiring me to bring a lot of books to class.. I sometimes have to get a little creative w/ my packing method. But Ive never not been able to pack up everything I need. Outside pocket is great for a rain jacket or umbrella. Inside organization couldnt have been designed better, & the zippered pocket up top offers a protective area for sunglasses or an ipod. & best of all, Im not one of those meanies knocking coffee out of peoples' hands with a big bully of a backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The World's Most Perfect Back Pack LOVE this back pack! With so many specilzed pockets and holders built in, nothing gets lost in the bottom. Hidden cushion allows for iPad or tablet, plus safe spots for gear, wires, bottled water ... OR you can insert a water bladder and take it cycling! The hole for the water tube can be used for headphone wires too. There's even a zip pocket on the top perfect for sunglasses. Looks smart while wearing with no chest strap dangling. Finally a pack that holds it all and is small enough to fit in my work locker. And yes, It is water resistant and sand just wipes right off so you can literally take anything with you anywhere you go! It has features I never even dreamed of. Thanks Patagonia!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great daypack for everyday use I've had this bag for a few years now and like it a lot. I use it every day for work - the inside back pocket is the perfect size for a laptop, and the padded back and bottom keep the laptop secure. The inside pockets are great for phone and other random small objects, and the bag can also fit notebooks, a water bottle, and a light jacket inside. I also love the zippered pocket at the top.,,,,I've taken this bag on some day hikes and vacations as well. It travels really well and is very durable.,,,,This backpack is really close to a "Love it!" but I had to go with "Big Ups" because (1) I wish the side pockets were a little deeper - my camelbak bottle tends to slip out of the side pocket, and (2) it would've been nice if it had a waist belt. Otherwise, awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE the bookbag for looks, but a tad small! I have carried a NorthFace Vault bookbag for years and when it finally started to fall apart, I decided to try a Patagonia. Although the pack is quite cute, it is a tad small for me to fit all of my textbooks and laptop in at the same time when traveling around campus. The laptop sleeve is a major plus and I love the water bottle pockets on the sides. The pack has great organizational pockets inside and the front pocket is also quite convenient. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would make it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great pack all around the Yerba is an excellent pack both on and off the trail. for the most part i use this backpack for school and it functions splendidly! it has some handy pockets on the inside that hold a variety of items. The top pocket is perfect for cell phones, it has a super soft lining that keeps everything from getting all scratched up. The side pockets hold a nalgene nicely and are deeper than i thought. All in all this is a very neat and clean backpack without a bunch of bells and whistles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Great Pack This is an awesome pack. It's really comfortable and its mind boggling just how good the organization of the main compartment is. The design of everything is really well thought out, everything has a purpose. The only thing that people may not like about it is that its a bit on the smaller side, but you can still fit a couple books, tablet, and some notebooks in there with ease. I mainly use it around campus and it does everything I need it too. Plus it looks really nice too.
