The Patagonia Women's R3 Hiloft Hoody is their warmest layering piece, made with a high-loft Polartec Thermal Pro polyester fabric and Polartec Power Stretch panels for moisture-wicking and fast dry time. This Patagonia jacket features a three-panel, close-fitting hood, a soft microfleece lining in the collar, cuffs and hem, and an awesome regular fit that allows for full mobility and enhanced durability. "The Only Hoody You Need, But Need Many Of!" 05/20/12
I'm on my third Patagonia R3 hoody....this year! I'm practically building a wardrobe around them. In Northern NM at 6,000 feet it can be very warm in the day then drop thirty degrees when the sun goes down, and this has saved me from freezing my a$$ off many evenings! I haven't tried it on the slopes yet; I telemark old school style and unless it's a super frigid day I believe it would be too hot (on the way down anyway), and though it's a technical piece: the stretch fabric along the body and drawcords would lend well to everything from ice climbing to moonlit ice skating,

This is hands down the best jacket ever. It's warm, its breathable, its damn near windproof. I have worn it under a shell or on its own and remained totally toasty. I'm 5'10'' and 145 lbs and a medium fits perfectly. I love this jacket. If you don't own one, you should buy several.

Overall: This is a great jacket, I always get compliments when I wear it. Warm and soft!Fit: - I am 5'2'', 120 lbs, and wear a small in this jacket.- It sits on your hips, which I appreciate, and has long sleeves to add comfort and versatility.- I appreciate the style of the hood, as it zips high and cinches close to really protect your neck, chin, ears, etc. Advantages: Soft and cozy.Designed for layering and stand alone wear.I use it everyday to walk to work, but it most deficiently can be used for outdoor activities (might need a windbreaker). Disadvantages:Might want to pair with windbreaker for those blustery days!

Totally love this fleece! So comfy and warm I have worn it almost everyday since I bought it. I am 5'6" and 137 pounds and the small fits perfect. I constantly get complements and recommend it to everyone. Thanks Patagonia for making such a quality product!

Patagonia is known for excellent quality and they don't disappoint with this jacket! It's stylish, super warm, and not bulky. I've washed it twice and it comes out looking great. I get compliments each time I wearit. People like the fluffy feel. I would totally recommend this jacket for anyone.

I now own two of theses jackets. They are warm even when the mercury drops below freezing. I wear mine everywhere! Great under a shell while skiing for warm, low profile look. I wear it while going to class and i stay warm outside but don't die of heatstroke inside. The smooth faced fleece under the arms and on the side prevents the matting that is common with similar jackets. Also helps reduce swampy pits. Fits pretty true to size. I'm 5'10 and 145 lbs and it's not too short on my torso nor too tight. I would to suggest this jacket to anyone and everyone.

I love my R3 hiloft hoody. It is warm and more importantly extremely comfortable. I live in rural AK and it is great as a layering piece in the winter. It seems to run a bit large as I have (ahem) put on a few extra pounds and the small still fits when I am really a medium.

I love my R3! It's super warm, soft, and comfy! I got a medium- I'm 5'10'' and usually wear a size 8. I probably could've gotten away with getting a small, but the medium still looks good and there's room for layers. The sleeves and body are nice and long, and I love that the neck zips up high!

I'm so happy I purchased this because it is unbelievably soft and all-around great! I wasn't sure that it was going to be all that warm, but it's much warmer than I imagined. I highly recommend it to anyone who is need of a warm (and stylish!) jacket!
