To start with, you have to size up. I read other reviews that suggested this and ignored them and it was a huge mistake. I'm a size 4 - sometimes 6 with hips like a boy (sadly) and couldn't even zip up the small. The medium was perfect. As for warmth, I got my jacket the third day of snowpocalypse (aka polar vortex) in MI. The jacket seems very light, so for my running errands in 5 degree temps I wore a long sleeve shirt and light weight fleece underneath and was perfectly warm. Would I take the kids snowboarding in 5 degrees in this? No. But for the usual running around with proper layering it was surprisingly comfortable. I'm sure in more usual temps of 20-30 F it would be fine with even less layering. The longer I wore it the warmer I felt which I'm sure is part of the technology. Finally, very flattering, slim fitting and amazing color. Tons of compliments. And I think it will be very versatile in warmer weather, which my big puffy down jacket will not be. Buy it!
The very first impression is how ultralight it is.. This is the most light-weight jacket ever I had. Furthermore, it looks very stylish due to its simple style and slim line. Though there is no "Patagonia" logo outside, my opinion is that makes this jacket more elegant and sophisticated. I bet when your friends see this, definetely they would say, "Where did you get that! It's nice and beautiful!!"
