"Patagonia Torrentshell is Magnificent"  05/15/12

I received the coat today and I already want to express how wonderful this jacket is! The color is stunning, and is everything someone needs in a rain jacket. Light weight, breathing capability, and secure hold incase you experience torrential rain fall. Best deal ever!

"Great fit & durable material"  04/20/12

My jacket just came in today and I absolutely LOVE the fit. I am 5'3", 145lbs, and a medium was the correct size for me. The nylon material is both comfortable and durable. Despite my love for this jacket, I am going to exchange it for a different color. I have never seen these jackets in stores so I based my color preference off of Moosejaw's pictures. I bought the fennel color thinking it would be an earthy green color (that is how I perceived it to be from the pictures), however, it is a bright lime green color. I will be exchanging it for a more subdued color but overall I am extremely happy with my purchase!

"I never want to take off this rain jacket. Fantastic."  12/27/11

Potentially my favorite piece of clothing I own. Lightweight and packable and just roomy enough to fit over a sweater/sweatshirt and not make me look like the Michelin Man. I bought the Turquoise color and get so many compliments. I wear this jacket as a rain shell or as a light jacket when it gets breezy. I am 5'2" and about 115 lbs and ordered the small...perfect size except for my stubby arms, sleeves are a bit long. Not to mention its Patagonia so the cute little mountain tag doesn't hurt matters either.

"Perfect Rain Coat"  12/20/11

I previously owned a Northface raincoat that was quite heavy and thick and I purchased this one with the hopes of having a lighterweight coat. This jacket fit the bill. It is extremely lightweight but very warm. I ordered the bright blue and it is a great color for those gloomy days. I was scared it would be very "neon" looking, but it isn't at all! In addition, I ordered a small but I definitely could have gotten away with an x-small as it is quite roomy(I'm 5'1 and 118 pounds). All in all it is a fantastic lightweight jacket that is perfect for rainy days!

"Great light-weight rain jacket!"  10/27/11

This jacket looks great on and is super convenient for rainy days! It's light and easy to stuff into any bag if the rain clears up. Great protection against the rain and light wind! You should know that it is very thin, so you will need to wear something underneath if it is cold out. Also, the jacket is normal length, but it would be nice to have a longer jacket for the rain to protect my legs from the cold wetness.

"All-day, pouring, soul-sucking rain? No problemo!"  10/11/11

I received this jacket as a gift, and I'm thrilled with it! I work long days outside in all conditions, so it's awesome to have something that keeps me dry but is easy to roll up and shove into my messenger bag when I don't need it. It's very waterproof and keeps you nice and dry, but it's still lightweight and not at all plasticky or gross. I love the pit zips for days that are warm and rainy, and the hood has a little bill to help keep rain from running down your nose all day (the worst!). I'm 5'6" 115 lbs, and while the XS fit like a glove, the S has plenty of room for a fleece and a down jacket underneath for those unpleasant days when it's cold AND rainy.

"This is the best rain jacket."  09/27/11

so you may be thinking wow 120 DOLLARS FOR A DAMN RAIN JACKET!! but let me tell you its worth it. as a college student you cant help but have to walk in the rain to class and after three weeks of being drenched by the time i got there I bought this. It is actually waterproof unlike alot of other "rain" jackets. And it comes in the best colors. Except when i went to order it on sale they didnt have the one i actually placed an order for? what a bummer!

"Great fit, actually keeps you dry"  09/23/11

After years of being soaked through during rain storms in a light-weight Merrell jacket, I finally switched to the Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket. I could not be more satisfied! The last time I was out hiking in hurricane aftermath, I stayed completely dry. The fit is loose enough to layer under, but not so baggy as to be unattractive. I especially like the reinforced hood, which helps to keep rain off your face but does not hinder your movement in anyway. The colors are vivid and really "pop" during dreary weather.

"Rockin the Prickly Pear"  09/22/11

I got this jacket in Prickly Pear and it's a way exciting color. This jacket keeps you dry and blocks the wind-- and when the sun comes out? It compacts really easily and can even be shoved in a purse. The hood is a good size and fits over my hair when it's in a bun, and the velcro and drawstrings around the hood keep it secure. Nice pockets, too. The only thing that's not perfect is the sleeves are actually way too long for me (and I'm 5'9"), but that's a minor technicality. Overall, this raincoat is a winner.

"Keeps you dry, but still looks cute."  09/16/11

I'm a college student, and this is the perfect jacket to wear on rainy days. It keeps you dry and has a great hood that covers your whole head. One nice feature are the underarm zips, perfect for warmer spring days when it rains. I especially like how small this jacket gets when you roll it up. It can easily be stowed in a bag for days when the weather might take a turn. Still looks brand new after a year of wear.
