"Amazing Rain Coat!!" 06/22/11
This coat is phenomenal!! It will keep you completely dry in the strongest of storms! The coat runs a bit on the large side, much less fitted than the shorter version, the Rain Shadow Jacket. I liked this coat so much I ordered it in Cashew as well.
"Great, lightweight longer trench that means business in town or beyond" 05/04/11
Lightweight, impervious to rain, love the 2 way zip--a must, and the snaps that make quick get aways quick. Stylish and flattering for a high functional jacket. Longer length makes it warmer on windy days and roomy enough to layer midweight fleece. Love it.
"Great Raincoat!" 01/31/10
I bought this raincoat fearing it might not be both fashionable and useful. It turns out to be both! It has snap and zip front, a savvy "trench" (without the belt) cut, and you can throw it on over a fleece vest and stay warm and dry. Or you can just throw it on over a dress or shorts in the warmer weather and stay dry. It is the perfect length - i.e. a long jacket or a short mini-coat. Please realize this is not a coat made to brave extreme cold weather, but it does really work on the premise of keeping one dry. This is a great "field" raincoat for me. I also feel I can take this one to Manhattan and not be thought of as a fashion zero.
"Great Jacket" 02/22/09
I got this in the color chantarelle and love it - it's long enough to cover your backside when sitting on a wet bench waiting for the train, and it is roomy enough for me to wear my Patagonia Fiona down coat underneath for those chilly wet days.
"Run out and buy one" 04/19/08
Finally, Patagonia has gotten on board with style and turned their long-time great jacket into a coat. It is a great fit, great color, and the removable hood is an additional thumbs-up benefit. Snaps to Patagonia on this coat.
"I waited a long time and it was well worth it." 04/18/08
Finally! I have watched and waited for a really great raincoat that doesn't look like athletic wear and this is it. Sleek, fitted and feminine. Runs a little big. I actually am a true size 8 and I took a size small in this. Just order it, you'll love it even though it is a little pricey it is worth every penny. I ordered a medium and a small and returned the medium.
