The Patagonia Women's R1 Full-Zip Jacket is a highly breathable fleece jacket made of Polartec Power Dry polyester designed to be worn alone or underneath a shell. This Patagonia women’s fleece has high/low interior grid-structure which enhances compressibility, airflow and dry time. The Women’s R1 fleece jacket also has great moisture wicking capabilities which makes this Patagonia fleece a front-runner in the world of women’s mid-layer jackets. If the new trend in soft-drinks is the “throw back” using real cane sugar instead of artificial syrups is working, Coke could do a throw back where they put cocaine back in. I bet it would sell pretty well, but then it would be illegal, and I like Cherry Coke way too much for that to happen.

"THIS JACKET IS NOT YOUR MOTHER'S FLEECE" 03/05/12
If you are not a real fan of fleece you will be thrilled with this jacket. That said, if you already love fleece, you will be amazed at the comfort. I purchased this in January in Michigan and have hardly taken it off. The jacket, with its waffle weave inside , adjusts to your temp. and is really breathable. I can wear it inside without overheating and outside under a down sweater when the temp dips below freezing. Fits well, washes well and is not bulky. Good choice. It is going with me on my next hiking trip.

"Lightweight Comfort and Warmth without the bulk of regular fleece" 03/01/12
Bought this jacket for boating and outdoor activities while on vacation in Hawaii (yes, it gets cooler there in the evenings in Feb). I am 5'10" and 130 lbs so I needed the sleeve length and somewhat fitted features that this jacket provides. Looks good even with collar unzipped. Lightweight and can be layered under another thicker fleece. Love the "waffle weave" fleece on the inside, that can be subtly detected on the outside too. Purchased a medium which fits well. Good sized zippered pockets. No drawstring in waist. Purchased in Turquoise which is more of a jade green. Great Patagonia quality.
"Great casual layering piece! Versatile and comfortable" 01/17/12
I wore this jacket when the weather starting cooling down on fall evenings and got lots of compliments! It's one of my most comfortable pieces of clothing that I can get away with in public. Through the winter, I've been layering with it. I love that it's a fun color. Versatile and comfortable!
"Hallmark of Jackets!" 05/10/11
This is THE BEST jacket I have ever owned in my life! I took it backpacking and have never been so comfortable. The waffle fleece pattern on the inside traps air and regulates your temperature perfectly! I was never too hot or too cold, and i never sweated because it was breathable! If you layer this with the Patagonia nano puff pullover it literally creates the dream team of jackets for warmth and flexibility. I LOVE THIS JACKET! it is my favorite piece of clothing I own by far!
"Great lightweight jacket" 05/06/11
I got one of these jackets a few weeks ago, and I've been really impressed so far. It is so lightweight, but I've been amazed with how warm it's kept me, even when it was chilly outside. I've had to wash it several times already to get the dog hair off, and even though I have the brown colored jacket, it hasn't faded a bit after several washings. Fits really nicely, though it might be a touch too long in the sleeves.

I love my new Patagonia R1 jacket. It's perfect for layering under your windproof and waterproof layers. It is a great light weight hiking fleece if you fancy that as well. Worth the dollars and cents, so it just makes sense.
"Comfy Cozy" 10/18/10
I got my Patagonia R1 Full zip and I love it. It isn't as thick as other patagonia jackets, but it is soooo comfy with a t-shirt and jeans in the spring and the fall. It is cut just right for us ladies, and ends right above the jean line. Both pockets have zippers, which is wonderful for your cell phone or keys. A wallet might look to clunky. I wouldn't wear it by itself during late fall camping trips or in winter, but should feel just right under a coat.
