Soft polyester ripstop shell with a light water-resistant coating, and a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish to resist moisture and wet snow
600-fill down insulation is plush, compressible and very warm
Fixed helmet-compatible hood with single-hand drawcord adjustment; high fleece-lined collar protects against wind and snow, keeps neck cozy and warm
Pit zips quickly release heat; articulated arms improve mobility
Removable powder skirt is adjustable and fully featured; webbing loops connect to any Patagonia Ski/Snowboard pants to keep the snow out and the skirt down
Pockets: two handwarmers, one chest, one interior drop-in and one interior zippered; includes secure, interior media pocket with cable routing
Hem can cinch for extra chilly days; drawcord exits into hand pockets for easy adjustments

"Good Warm Jacket" 12/10/11

I live in Northern WI so I was looking for a jacket that could handle colder weather. I was initially really disappointed that Patagonia wasn't making the Fitz Roy Down jacket for women this year so ended up settling for the Pipe Down but It has been great so far! Its very warm and keeps the wind out. Being 6'1'' and thin I often have a hard time getting jackets that fit my lanky arms and still fit snug to my torso. I ordered a large and the sleeves fit well and the jacket is really easy to tighten at the bottom. It also has the elastic band around your waist to keep snow out and this can be buttoned at two different places so it fits different sizes great!

"I'm NOT Rahlpie in this jacket!" 10/17/10

So I was looking for a warm down jacket that I could actually move in that had a hood-that I could move in comfortably and was slimming-I found it! You would not believe how many coats do not have hoods that I would have liked...if it had a hood. I thought everybody loved hoods?!?!?! "regular fit" which in my opinion is the only way to go-runs true to size.
