I can speak first-hand about the usefulness of the Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket. I've owned one for years and always keep it close by. When planning a hiking trip it is pretty much an auto-include, year round. You'll be ready for chilly nights, frosty days and it's always ready to be your pillow every single night. The Women's Nano Puff is filled with PrimaLoft ONE synthetic insulation which traps heat, even when wet. The outer shell is lightweight ripstop recycled polyester with Deluge DWR finish to shed moisture. All of this adds up to a very light 11.1 oz. It stands up to all you can throw at it and will excel as your go-to insulating layer in the winter. This year's model is even better as it has an improved fit through the torso and waist, and an added interior storm flap behind the zipper. Plus it has the classic Nano Puff “brick" quilting pattern that has been making brick houses aesthetically pleasing for years.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

FEATURES of the Patagonia Women's Nano Puff Jacket

  • Lightweight ripstop recycled polyester shell fabric has a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish, meaning water droplets will literally roll right off of you. So great.
  • The lightweight 60-g PrimaLoft One insulation provides excellent warmth and compressibility, making this a must have take-along on hiking and camping trips
  • Brick quilting pattern with narrow horizontal quilt lines on side panels stabilizes insulation, and uses durable thread for abrasion resistance
  • The brick quilting pattern plus the horizontal quilt lines also look super flattering and nicely show off your curves
  • Center-front zipper has a moisture-wicking interior storm flap, which means it's designed to move sweat and water away from your body
  • There is also a zipper garage at chin, helping to avoid irritating chafing problems and instead supplying next-to-skin comfort
  • Two zippered handwarmer pockets have clean-finished zipper garages, ideal for warming your little paws or safely storing your chapstick
  • The zippered internal chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop, so you can compress and clip-it onto your pack for easy convenience
  • Drawcord-adjustable drop-tail hem seals in warmth without allowing cold gusts to go up your back

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Primaloft Gold

PrimaLoft Gold
PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation offers light weight thermal efficiency, permanent water resistance, maximum breathability and superior softness. That's probably more impressive than your resume. Maybe you should try beefing up your resume. I suggest adding "great at problem solving and not lying on resumes."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT VERSATILE PIECE This is a very practical windproof, water resistant garment that can be worn as an insulating layer in really cold weather or as a stand alone outerwear jacket. It's lightweight, warm, compressible, and stows away in the inner pocket. I bought it in the rustic purple color and it's a very nice shade of light purple. I've become a big fan of Patagonia (used to buy only The North Face) and their products are very durable and well made. I think it runs true to size. I'm 5'5", 128 lbs and a medium fits fine. The sleeves are a little longer which I like and it has two hand warmer pockets and one interior chest pocket. It dries super fast after washing too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Well Worth the Asking Price If you want a jacket that will keep you warm and free from the wind in very cold conditions - Buy IT! If you want a jacket that you can wad up into a small ball and pack it away - BUY IT! If you are looking for a light weight jacket, that weighs like a feather and not weigh as much as a gallon of milk, while making you look as big as a sumo wrestler - BUY IT! If you are not sure its worth the MRSP and you think no jacket is never worth that price, so you highly doubt the purchase.....Let me tell you - Buy IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well done Patagonia After reading the almost flawless reviews I invested in a nano puff and a better sweater for a month long trip to Europe in December. The weather was anywhere from 30-45 degrees with windchill and I have to say this jacket fleece combo was perfect and really easy to store in my carrying so I had tons of extra packing space. I would recommend a good thermal and a scarf though on particularly colder days. and I also found that putting a down vest on under the jacket without the fleece was even warmer at times. Overall Great packable jacket. I do wish it was a little more fitted does feel a bit boxier compared to the north face equivalent but I'm a happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I've been wanting a nano puff for a while, and finally broke down and ordered one. I wear a small in my Patagonia fleece, but this small was a little tight around the shoulders for my liking-- it restricted my range of motion. Sent it back and got a medium in the Glass Blue. Love the color, love the yellow on the inside, and it is surprisingly warm! The medium fits in the shoulders better than the small (I'm 5'5 and a size 4 on top). I plan on using this as a layer under my snowboard jacket, and I think it will be perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow I bought this coat a few weeks ago and love it. I wear it all the time. I wore it hiking the other day under a waterproof jacket while it was raining; the jacket got completely soaked and started to seep to my next layer, the Nano Puff. Well, I could feel the Nano's outerlayer was wet but I wasn't. It kept my phone dry while it was in the pocket! Kept me dry and warm! Perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expected but also not Overall it's a nice coat, I read the reviews and expected it to be thin however, it seems like more a late fall jacket. Also it was supposed to come with a pouch and a hook that it stuffs back into and doesn't. The fit is great though, I have ordered other clothing from Patagonia and it does run true to size. I ordered the Oxford Red color and the seems are a orangey, I expected the seams to be be same color as the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely worth it! Just purchased this jacket last fall and could not be happier. It is perfect on its own, and also works great as a warm layer under a shell jacket for wet snowy days or skiing. I am 5'4", 140lbs. and the Medium fits great; plenty of room to move comfortably but not too baggy. Added bonus-- the jacket packs down into its own pocket and compresses to a tiny, easy-to-pack size for traveling or backpacking. If you're looking for a high quality, versatile jacket this one is the way to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I love this jacket, its very light weight but keeps me very warm, hiking, walking, any time. I live in S. Cali but I hike a lot and I needed something for hiking thats light weight and its perfect, it fits in my backpack, Also I used it to go snowshoeing in the mountains, with a layer under it was plenty, I was very happy and satisfied. I am 5'3" and 126 pounds, I ordered the Medium, its good because I can wear layers under, I think the small would have been very tight fit. for tops I usually wear small but for jackets I always get medium so I can wear a fleece or long sleeve and it doesn't feel too tight, so I like the medium. If I am wearing a light short sleeves it can be a little baggy but its not bad at all

Hello - what is the actual length of the jacket, in inches? It states "hip". I am looking for a jacket that is not too short.....

Asked by: Herman
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Like most jackets, the length varies depending on its size. The Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket varies by an inch for each size- XS 24 in, S 25 in, M 26 in, L 27 in and XL 28 in.
