I can speak first-hand about the usefulness of the Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket. I've owned one for years and always keep it close by. When planning a hiking trip it is pretty much an auto-include, year round. You'll be ready for chilly nights, frosty days and it's always ready to be your pillow every single night. The Women's Nano Puff is filled with PrimaLoft ONE synthetic insulation which traps heat, even when wet. The outer shell is lightweight ripstop recycled polyester with Deluge DWR finish to shed moisture. All of this adds up to a very light 11.1 oz. It stands up to all you can throw at it and will excel as your go-to insulating layer in the winter. This year's model is even better as it has an improved fit through the torso and waist, and an added interior storm flap behind the zipper. Plus it has the classic Nano Puff “brick" quilting pattern that has been making brick houses aesthetically pleasing for years.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

FEATURES of the Patagonia Women's Nano Puff Jacket

  • Lightweight ripstop recycled polyester shell fabric has a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish, meaning water droplets will literally roll right off of you. So great.
  • The lightweight 60-g PrimaLoft One insulation provides excellent warmth and compressibility, making this a must have take-along on hiking and camping trips
  • Brick quilting pattern with narrow horizontal quilt lines on side panels stabilizes insulation, and uses durable thread for abrasion resistance
  • The brick quilting pattern plus the horizontal quilt lines also look super flattering and nicely show off your curves
  • Center-front zipper has a moisture-wicking interior storm flap, which means it's designed to move sweat and water away from your body
  • There is also a zipper garage at chin, helping to avoid irritating chafing problems and instead supplying next-to-skin comfort
  • Two zippered handwarmer pockets have clean-finished zipper garages, ideal for warming your little paws or safely storing your chapstick
  • The zippered internal chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop, so you can compress and clip-it onto your pack for easy convenience
  • Drawcord-adjustable drop-tail hem seals in warmth without allowing cold gusts to go up your back

Primaloft Gold

Primaloft Gold
Primaloft Gold synthetic insulation offers light weight thermal efficiency, permanent water resistance, maximum breathability and superior softness. That's probably more impressive than your resume. Maybe you should try beefing up your resume. I suggest adding "great at problem solving and not lying on resumes."

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy this jacket first, I got this jacket from an online retailer, not moosejaw :( and paid way too much full price. at moosejaw you can at least earn reward points with your purchases and use them later for discounts, BIG PLUS. but i was in a big hurry and...bla bla bla. Second, this jacket is AWESOME! i usually just stick w my north face denali in this mid america winter, it gets into the 30s usually and that denali keeps me kind of warm...ish. so i decided to step it up and no more freeze fingers for me. this jacket is really thin and at first i thought it would be just like the denali but man! even on those teen degree mornings this thing is toasty! i cant believe it took me so long to buy this thing. for reference, i am 5'5' and 130, but pretty toned but not too much. i got medium and that fits me comfy cause i dont like tight stuff and like to be able to move my arms with a jacket on. buy this coat if your contemplating it. just do it. its alot of money but seriouslya good investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I've been wanting a nano puff for a while, and finally broke down and ordered one. I wear a small in my Patagonia fleece, but this small was a little tight around the shoulders for my liking-- it restricted my range of motion. Sent it back and got a medium in the Glass Blue. Love the color, love the yellow on the inside, and it is surprisingly warm! The medium fits in the shoulders better than the small (I'm 5'5 and a size 4 on top). I plan on using this as a layer under my snowboard jacket, and I think it will be perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I wanted, and less This jacket is exactly what I was looking for, but was even thinner and lighter than I expected. It's comfortable, warm, looks great and packs up into its own pocket. I live in North Florida and haven't taken it anyplace really cold yet, but outside on a 40 degree morning it was all I needed and I'm a wimp about being cold. It will be perfect for traveling because of the pack-ability factor. I love this jacket and don't want to take it off!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, Versatile Jacket I bought this jacket for traveling- I was going to be an array of climates over a few months period and I needed something I could layer, wear casually, and pack up small and shove in my backpack. This jacket was perfect for cooler nights in Panama, layered with a thin long sleeve in South Carolina, and kept me happy with a heavy sweater underneath in Vermont (in January). it's a great layering piece. ,,,,I did a LOT of research before buying this jacket- and I've basically worn it everyday since I bought it.. and it holds up great. Does a nice job of keeping most of the wind out, and held up nice against a wet snowfall- it kept me drier than I ever would have expected. In pouring rain I'd layer with a rain jacket,,,,I am about 5'7'' and 140lbs, and bought medium. It fits great, with room for layers, and is long enough to cover my low back and keep out any wind from coming up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, warm, and oh so comfy! I was worried that this jacket would be too lightweight to offer any warmth but thankfully I was wrong! I was nice and toasty wearing this jacket with temps around 30 degrees. I purchased the tomato red color and love it! I normally wear a size Medium and this jacket was roomy enough to layer a hoody or sweater underneath or I could make it look more fitted by simply tightening the drawstrings!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Older model fits perfect I've only had this jacket now for 2 weeks and its already become the favorite thing I own (granted, it is winter right now). After seeing how light, packable, warm, and generally all- purpose worthy this jacket was for a fellow traveler on our trip to Peru, I have wanted this jacket. I finally had a chance to get to a shop to try one on only to find it was too tight in the hips and too loose in the bust for me (5'2", 110lbs, pear shaped). So I started looking for other options. At another store, on a whim, I tried the jacket on again (size S) and found it fit perfectly???? After doing some searching at home and finding the jacket here at Moosejaw on sale as a "retired model or color" I realized it was the "last year" model that fit me perfectly- so I ordered on (bonus, on sale, gotta love that!). So, if you are looking at sizes, be aware that the prior models seemed to have a little more room in the hips than the newer model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I already have this jacket, but wanted one a little roomier so I ordered a size up. Not much bigger. I love this jacket. I already had one I got several years ago and just wanted a little more room, so I bought a size bigger. This jacket unfortunately is cut smaller than I expected. It is longer, but no bigger in the stomach or upper arms; so I just kept my old one. Love the jacket though. It is light, warm, and very comfortable alone or layered. Thanks to Moosejaw, Im sending this one back at their expense as usual. Moosejaw makes shopping a pleasure!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Despite a closet full of jackets this one gets used by far the most. Extremely versatile. This jacket is the bomb. After my wife was jealous of mine, I purchased one for her and she absolutely loves it! The fit is very flattering on her and it is surprisingly warm for how lightweight it is. It is great as a mid layer or as an outer layer depending on the conditions.
