"Awesome!" 05/11/13
I had my eye on the nano puff hoody for a while and finally purchased it. I love it! I am 5'8" and about 123lbs and the small fits great. I was a little hesitant about getting the green color thinking it was going to be too bright but its a great color! not too bright but still is different than anything else I have which is usually blacks and darker colors. I plan to use it for around town as well as under my hard shell jacket after skinning up and needing a easily packable yet warm layer for the ski back down. Love the lightness of it too, not bulky at all yet still so warm. Perfect!
"Love it!" 05/09/13
I did a massive amount of research to find the best deal in terms of price, durability, weight, and warmth. The patagonia nana puff hoody meet all of this requirements! Although, fairly expensive (if you can't find a sale) this jacket is worth every penny. Super light weight and packs into it's own pocket. This version (vs. to the nano puff without the hood) offers more warmth without taking up extra space. It's water resistant synthetic material makes it ideal for backpacking as the down version is more expensive and becomes useless when wet. Side note, this jacket runs larger than most (normally a s but had to order xs). This jacket will now be going on every backpacking trip I take!
"True Love!" 04/26/13
I have had this product for over a year and I love it! It is very light weight, so originally i didn't think it would be that warm, but it is very warm and great for either layer or wearing in the fall or spring. It fits well and is very durable.
"Cozy, warm, stuffs in a sack... what more could you want?" 10/20/12
I just received my Nano Puff jacket and while I haven't tested it in cold conditions yet, it feels very warm for being so INCREDIBLY lightweight. I will say the Flash Pink is very very bright - a search party will have no trouble locating you if you get lost in the woods :) It's bright, bubblegum pink.In terms of size, I usually wear a small size top (I am 5'6"/135 lbs/C) and was worried whether I should get a small or medium because I want to be able to wear a base layer. I went with the small based on the size chart and it fits GREAT and falls just below my hips. With a 12 oz weight and built in stuff sack, it should be perfect for hiking and camping!
"This jacket is perfect for when needing a light jacket, or with layering is super warm." 08/26/12
I love this jacket. I live in a place where the weather can be very temperamental, and this jacket is super light and fits in my purse in case of unexpected wind or rain. It deals well with light rain and chilly weather, but is pretty warm when you layer it. It feels like wearing a warm sweatshirt, its really comfortable. And the hood fits awesomely, keeping my hair (but not my face unfortunately) dry. Good for spring/autumn, but a little too light for winter (or at least, too light for the winters in Sweden).
"great quality at a great price." 02/25/12
First of all, all of Patagonia's products are top notch and I've never had a problem with them. I ordered the Nano Puff jacket and the Retool Hoodie and I'm very happy with both. This jacket is lightweight and provides warmth without the hassle of carrying around a coat or a fleece. Very easy to move in. Not too puffy - you won't look like a marshmallow with it on! Also I'm pretty sure it folds up into itself. Patagonia is a great company, get this product at such a great price while you can! I ordered a medium in the turquoise color and it fits true to size. Very pleased!
"Get it!" 01/21/12
This jacket is totally super warm!! I haven't had a chance to wear it in super-cold weather yet because I live in florida...but it will make a cold trip soon enough. I did test its abilities to keep me warm though...in the walk-in freezer at the restaurant I work at, its 0 degrees in there. It worked really well. And its lightweight and packable to boot!
". . GREAT JACKET but . ." 01/15/12
. . Very light, yet WARM, and a great color. I returned it for the same color Mango Patagonia Sweater Jacket instead. I didn't like this Nano Puff Hoody just for the fact that it has that quilted look stitching on the entire jacket. Just not my style. I liked the Sweater Jacket instead because it had the horizontal lines instead of the quilted look. Depends on your style again.
"awesome" 01/10/12
This jacket is the best. It is still blowing my mind that it can be so light weight, yet so warm. Another thing I really love it that you can move around good in it. I have a North Face jacket and I feel so limited in my range of motion. With the nano puff, I can do all the crazy moves. I was between the nano puff and Patagonia's down sweater, but I went with the nano because its cheaper, and the nano's down alternative works when it is wet too...just in case The nano is supposed to be slightly less warm than the down sweater, but I got a fleece pullover for $8 at Walmart to layer with the nano and I am super warm!!! Get this jacket for sure.
"great jacket" 11/05/11
I am a mom of two who doesn't spend much time or money on on me. This jacket was the best investment I have spent on myself. It's the perfect no brainer "go-to " jacket. It is super warm and lightweight. Living at 9,000 feet in the rockie mountains I need a coat that will hold up against the weather. From plowing 3 feet of snow in the morning to those cool summer evenings, this coat is very versatile. I layer it over top a hoodie for extra warmth in the winter and wear as is in the spring and fall. Plus I love the orange color. Makes it super easy for my kids to spot me when I am waiting for them outside of school or hiking up in the woods. love this jacket!
