The Patagonia Women's Margot Dress is a super comfy long-sleeve dress that is awesome to slide on after a day of top-roping in Kootenai Canyon. This Patagonia dress features a crossover V-front that merges with a flattering midriff that's gathered for comfort, and a slight A-line hem that drapes to just above the knee. Three-quarter-length sleeves of the Margot dress provide enough warmth to cut an autumn evening's chill. The Margot is made from 6.2-oz 95% organic cotton that's prewashed for softness, with a touch of spandex (5%) for stretch, and recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

"Not for hour glass shapes!" 05/02/12
5'8" 130lbs 36B. I bought the medium. Very cute, soft dress. 95 percent organic cotton. Washes well on delicate cycle. This dress looks best on thinner, taller, smaller busted frames like myself. Very fitted through bust and waist, but forgiving in the thigh area. Bra does show some without cami underneath dress. love the dress!

5'2"; 125lbs; 36 c/d bust ~ wanted to love this tried a small & med and neither worked at all! So wanted to love it since we have some trips planned and thought a few of these would be perfect for travel. Maybe better for tall, skinny, smaller chested women?

"Super flattering--LOVE this dress" 01/03/12
This is the ideal summer dress! It's light, airy, and can be worn without a bra. I'm 5`6, 135 lbs and flat chested--I purchased a small but I think someone around my size with larger breasts could still pull off a small. The band of material hits at the smallest part of your body plus the material has a little stretch for an extremely flattering fit. Only downside to a solid color (I got the light blue) is that it gets a little stretched out after a day's wear but I think the print would definitely hide it. Wished I got a second one!

I have this dress in about 4 or 5 different colors/patterns. The older ones fit perfectly, but the most recent ones I ordered have unusually long straps. When sitting down the straps fall off my shoulders. Could easily be fixed by a tailor. It is a bit low cut but not inappropriate. Super comfortable.

Love this dress! I'm 5'5", 130lbs, and I got a size S in gull grey. Like other reviews have mentioned, the skirt isn't quite as free-flowing as it looks in the picture -- since the fabric is knit, it tends to hug curves a little. It's not skin-tight by any means, just a tiny bit be-careful-to-suck-in tight. The horizontal band hits perfectly right under the bust, which definitely helps alleviate the belly problem. It’s rather low cut, but in a way that's very flattering for those with smaller busts (I'm an A). The straps cover a bra nicely, and they are a little longer than ideal, but it's an easy alteration. The skirt 1-2 inches above the knee, and the style is very versatile.

This dress is amazing. I love it! It's so comfortable! And the brown band under your chest isn't just solid brown. It actually has a neat design that is in the same blue as the dress, so it makes it look even more cute! If you're looking for a dress that is comfortable and you'll look amazing in, this is it! Even though you may doubt to buy it because of the price, don't hestitate. It is well worth your money! Go ahead and make yourself look cute! :)

I ordered an XS in Grey Gull and it is super cute! The colors are just like the picture. It falls just above the knee. I am 5'2'', 105lbs and my average size is XS/S. The issue is the odd fit, which has been mentioned by other reviewers. My upper half is small (A), but I'm a bit bigger proportionally in the lower half. The upper part of the dress fits perfectly- not too loose or low, doesn't show too much. But the lower half of the dress fits a bit too tight- hugs some curves a bit more than it should and really shows a bit of a belly. Definitely isn't as flowing as it looks in the picture. But the small was way too big. Not sure yet if I'll return it or just try to suck that belly in!

the bottom of the dress is a bit more form fitting than the picture makes it appear, if you have boobs or hips and are in between sizes, order up. VERY soft, VERY gorgeous material. love patagonia, sexy sexy sundress, just doesn't fall below the waistline the way i felt it should.

I bought this dress to wear to the Kentucky Derby and it worked wonderfully! As others have said, the straps are a little long, but it was a very simple fix if you know the slightest bit about sewing. I took up my straps about an inch and now the fit is absolutely perfect. I also wore the dress with a camisole top underneath before I took up the straps and that worked as well. The dress packed and travelled across 5 states well so if you are looking for a "grab it and go" dress, this is the one! I generally wear a small (4-6 pants, small top) so that is the size I ordered and other than the strap issues, which I took care of, the fit was pretty accurate.
