I like this skirt a lot! It's very soft and hangs well. I think that it would work well for lots of casual things, and maybe even for work, if you were to wear a nice shirt and shoes with it. It's nice that it's convertible too - great item for travel when you want to pack light and still have clothing options!
I've had a few different years' version of this skirt and it has always held up to be some of my favorites! The material Patagonia uses on this skirt is so comfy!!! It also falls at a nice length, even for someone my short height of 5'4", it still is just right above the knee so I could wear it at my summer camp around the kids, but I could still wear it on my days off because it is so cute! The only thing that sometimes bothers me is if you have a shirt that goes over the skirt, the tie on the side makes you look a bit bunchy in the stomach, but just pick another shirt or Patagonia has a great "Tidal Skirt"!
This skirt can be worn dressy or casual. It's got a really soft and light fabric that is super comfortable. Also, the waistband can be folded over to shorten it, or worn down to keep it long, very versatile
I really like this piece as both a skirt and halter top. As a top, it has a flattering fit (tight around top and flowy through the midsection)....however, I have a small chest. I would imagine it might not work well as a top for someone who is a bit bustier. As a skirt, again, it has a really flattering cut. At 5"4', the medium hit right around my knees, so I can even wear it to work. The material is nice and light, which I'm sure I'll appreciate as the summer temps increase. I will definitely travel with this as well...cute, comfortable, and versatile!
