The Patagonia Women's Leashless Pant is a Gore-Tex pant for alpine pursuits. The three layer Gore-Tex Active fabric is completely waterproof, lightweight, and the most breathable in the Gore-Tex line. The regular fit allows for layers underneath but still maintains a slim lower-leg with active-stance articulation throughout. This allows for constant, unrestricted movement up the mountain. The two thigh pockets have coated zippers to keep out the wet stuff and are placed out of the way of your harness, so you can still access them. The calf-length zippers at the cuff finish with a button, for easy on/off with a lace hook for securing and inner scuff guards to increase the life of the pant against crampons. The fabric is finished with a durable water repellent to prevent soaking in so you can brush off the snow and continue on your quest.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.
GORE-TEX Active Jackets are designed and built to provide amazing breathability for highly aerobic activities, like aerobics, while still providing complete windproof and waterproof protection from the elements, like wind and water. GORE-TEX has built their reputation on quality and performance, and are the gold standard for active weather protection.
