I absolutely love this down jacket. It fits true to size and is incredibly warm. It is worth noting that it seems to be a bit longer than the regular Patagonia down sweater and that was a factor in my choice of the Hi-Loft version. Also, I have appreciated the hood and I am now not sure why I have purchased similar jackets without hoods in the past. Ultimately, this jacket has exceeded my expectations.

I already own the Hi-Loft Down Sweater without the hood; so I decided to try this one with the hood. While Patagonia products are on the expensive side, as with other of their products, this jacket is well worth the money. It's well made and I'm sure will last forever.The jacket is long enough to cover my back side without being too long. The hood is an extra bonus. If it gets cold out and I forgot a hat (or don't want to bring one, as I'm always losing them), I can just pop up the hood. The stuff sack is great for traveling especially when the weather is going to vary from warm to cool.
