"Fantastic Coat - Super Warm and a Fashion Statement at the same time!!"  01/23/12

I bought this coat 2 weeks ago for my daughter who lives in Boston. She is a very fashionable dresser so I was nervous to surprise her with a coat of my choice. She absolutely loves it and said it fits like a top designer coat! It is somewhat fitted so she said she doesn't look like the Michelin Tire Man! What a great coat - super warm and stylish!! Great choice for day and evening wear!

"This coat is the best!"  12/19/11

This is really the best down parka out there! After trying on several in the store I finally went on MJ and got this one. I couldn't be happier! I'm 5'"9 and the medium fits me perfectly. The sleeves are just the right length and it goes down just past my knees to keep my nice and warm. My only advice would be to try one on before you buy it if you are rather short because it is very long.

"best of the down jackets"  12/18/11

light, long, slimming, perfect - looks a lot better than wearing a sleeping bag, but warm like one

"Super Warm Coat!"  11/28/11

I would recommend this coat to everyone. It is warm and so soft. It is also very stylish. Moosejaw has the best selection and the greatest deals.

"Super Warm and Sleek"  04/17/11

I loved my Down With It parka but I love this coat even more. 1) Higher fill & warmer than the Down With It. 2) Slight sheen to fabric & placket covering zipper make it look almost kinda dressy.3) Quilting & seams make it sleek & trim, less bulky. 4) Two quibbles: a) fabric frequently gets caught in the zipper, and b) it's borderline too long: I'm 5'9" and it hits me just below the knee. If I were shorter I think it would feel & look a little too much like I'm wearing my sleeping bag around camp. I've gotten many compliments on it. It's almost certainly the most stylish and attractive coat you're going to get for this much comfort and warmth.

"Not-so-puffy Puffy Coat"  02/01/11

I bought this coat for functionality and thought I'd be settling on the style. I was wrong! It's beautiful in person. The angled quilting makes it look much more feminine than the boxy and puffy I'm-wearing-my-sleeping-bag-around coats. Love the length - keeps all the wind out and is super lightweight. The lining is soft and the buttons around the neck keep out the cold. I also thought the coat looked very shiny online and wasn't too thrilled about it, but when I received it in person, I was happy to find that the finish is just right - no shine. I think this is a great buy for anyone looking for an extreme, cold-weather coat, as well as one that will get compliments!

"Fantasticly warm!"  12/19/10

As far as coats that can double as sleeping bags go, this one is absolutely fantastic. Very warm and windproof (I wear it walking a couple miles to work in the Chicago wind), with lots of awesome features - fit that comes in at the waist so you actually look like a person instead of a bag, the ends of the sleeves and the pockets have a nice soft fuzzy fabric for braving the cold without gloves, there's an inside zippered pocket, the outside pockets zip up, and the shawl hood thing works great (when buttoned). I'm 5'6" and it hits a few inches below my knees - just past the tops of tall boots.

"I love this Parka!"  12/11/10

This wonderful parka has made life in Fairbanks Alaska much easier. I wear this when it is 15 degrees out down to -35. I am sure it will get much colder and I will see if it still keeps me warm. I think it will. I got this parka mostly to take the pups for a walk. But I wear it every where. It is very long down to the tops of my tall boots which is perfect for me. I love the grey color and many people want to know where I bought it. It is so comfortable. Sometimes it can be hard to zip up because of how long it is but it is well worth it. I wish I could afford to get it in another color. Get this parka if you want to stay warm during a cold winter!

"This coat wins first prize and I've tried them all!"  12/08/10

This coat is fabulous! I've tried the North Face Long Down Coat,, Eddie Bauer Yukon Duffel, but this Patagonia is the winner for cold, cold, windy, icy days. Aside from the fact that it is the warmest of the lot, it is also the most stylish without making me look like the "Michelin Man." I'm actually ordering a second one in another color!. Thanks Patagonia and thanks Moosejaw: you both rock.

"Fabulous fit!"  12/01/10

This is the 'hottest' winter coat I have ever purchased---and it makes me look forward to a Chicago winter! It's slim fitting, sexy design eliminates the bulk of a winter coat, and it's lightweight material does not weigh you down. Long, warm, light, trendy...you can't go wrong with this coat. The attached hood, when down, serves as a scarf like neck warmer--another smart design choice by Patagonia. Love this coat and think you will too!

"It's okay"  10/04/10

I bought this when I lived in Detroit, I now live in FL and really have no use for it. It felt bulky but it kept me warm.
