I purchased this jacket on-line; an impulse purchase when the lack of winter daylight was getting the best and worse of me. When it arrived, I had pocket book remorse and was going to send it back, but my cat puked up a hairball on the hood and the coat was now mine. I owe my cat a favor because I absolutely LOVE THIS JACKET; but, I agree with my cat, the hood sucks. It is ridiculously large, which would be useful if you were an astronaut walking in space, but that I am not, nor am I a rocket scientist. But I have great taste and I think it flattering and is very cozy and the fabric feels lovely against my skin, and repels wet snow well. It is very warm too keeping me toasty as low as 0 degrees F, but not bulky or puff ball. The zipper is strong, not one of those dinky plastic ones that break about 3 months after purchase. I am 5'6", 130 lbs. and the med. fits perfect. Sleeves nice and long, but not too tight for my not so tiny arms, and it covers most of my tush (a good thing).
