"Bought it to ski with under a shell but will likely wear it lots more than that!" 11/18/09
Was surprised at how light it was--not at all like a regular down jacket but truly like a cozy sweater. The material is silky soft. Fit allows freedom of movement and fits perfectly under my shell. Beautiful color, too. Can't wait to ski with it when it's super cold. Will stuff nicely in a backpack when it's too warm. Anticipate lounging around in it, too. Quality looks superb, as is usual from Patagonia.
"very, very nice..and fits" 11/16/09
I worried this would be too small & tailored. It is true to size, similar to northface and other major brands. Peacockblue is deeper & more opaque than the sky blue I imagined. I do not see feathers through the fabric (& no excapees so far). The color is very pretty, between royal & teal blu. The cut is more tailored through the waist than the 09 model, but otherwise identical. Lgr busted gals may prefer this cut, which is a more squared-off. I love the weight, warm for 30-50 deg but not too bulky under a shell. The shape and color in this picture are tru.
"Love it." 02/07/08
I love this jacket - I tried a couple different ones before settling on this, and I'm glad I did. It is super cozy, lightweight, stlyin', and has a great cut for the lady-like shape. I especially like the little touches, like the elastic draw-cord hem that tucks away so you don't have this ugly toggle thing hanging down from your coat. Love that. I've been wearing it nearly every day, and it's perfect for the Northwest winter where it doesn't get wicked cold - oh and the fabric is wind-proof and water resistant!
"fav coat" 02/03/08
This is one of the best coats I own -- and I have a lot of coats! Great as an outer layer don't let the weight fool you and also, on those cold mountain days, great as insulation under a soft shell. wore it as a layer under a softshell on 14 degree day snowboarding and was toasty as could be! Get it!
