"My go-to baselayer for skiing, mountaineering, etc"  12/13/11

Best baselayer I've worn, well worth the money to be warm! Toasty, nice fit, breathes well, antimicrobial fabric keeps it from stinking after the first time it gets wet. Love the capilene, I have bought two sets, tops and bottoms. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

"Great Product"  10/28/11

Great product. I received them for a gift last year from my son and I wore them to death. I get cold even though I live in So. California and find that the Patagonia tops and bottoms Capilene level 3s keep me warm and toasty and I wear them under almost everything I can. I order another black pair this year and a natural color also. Love them. And glad I got on and ordered them when I did because last year it got hard to find them when we waited too late in the year.

"awesome!"  09/17/11

I wear these pants under almost anything in the winter, snowpants, jeans, or just by itself when I go hiking or cross counrty skiing. I used them when I went to Iceland and they stood up agianst the cold and wind. Highly recommend them!

"really great for all conditions"  09/12/11

i wore these hiking through snow in grand teton national park. although it was 85 degrees outside, there was still waist-deep snow on the ground. these leggings kept my legs from freezing and getting soaking wet, but also felt comfortable out of the snow in a fast-paced, intense hike to johnson lake. bought them in the bright blue, and although i love the color, dirt from the excursion instantly stained them.

"Could do better"  06/13/11

These are okay, but don't keep you as warm as other bottoms- I usually like the patagonia capilene series bottoms, but THERE ARE BETTER out there then these!

"Must-Haves <3"  12/09/10

If I could own enough pairs of these to wear from November to March and only do laundry once a week, I would be elated. First, they fit well. While they fit snugly, they are not skin tight, so your feet and ankles won't get chilly from lack of circulation. They also fit easily under sensible femininely cut jeans and other layers. Second, they stand up well both to wear and laundering. Mine have yet to fade or sag. Third, they are true to size, and have enough coverage in the seat and waist to avoid the constant fiddling to keep them up over your tush. The material is smooth, soft, and a pleasure to wear. Overall, I highly recommend this product! LTM - <3 H.

"If you go outside when it's cold, you need these!"  11/28/10

I live in the mountains where it's cold, so I have a drawer especially dedicated to long underwear. Mostly, it's filled with Smartwool and Capilene, and I always grab the Capilene over the Smartwool. Cap 3 is the perfect weight for almost everything when you need a good baselayer to keep you warm, and it's not at all itchy like Smartwool. And hey, you can always layer it with more Capilene...and make Cap 12 or something awesome like that. And I have to admit, even though no one else sees my long underwear, I think that the fact that this Cap 3 comes in teal is pretty sweet.

"VERY warm, SUPER cozy"  11/11/10

These are great pants for those crisp fall days! They are thin, so you can wear them under anything and they keep you super warm on whatever length of trip you're on! Also, they're great for backpacking trips- they dry SUPER fast.

"Every backpacker needs a pair (or more)"  11/09/10

This baselayer is a must for cool nights in the backcountry. My pair have seen hundreds of miles of hiking and backpacking and they still look new. The waist band is so comfortable you'll never know it's there. These fit close to the skin without being overly tight. The only drawback is that they have the usual bodyodor problems of all synthetic fabrics. A good wash at home freshens them up for the next trip.

"very warm, very comfortable"  08/09/10

Patagonia makes the best long underwear around, and these are no exception. I wear them for everything and even though they are thick, I'm never too hot cause they just wick so well.
