The Women's Capilene 3 Crew Shirt by Patagonia is our most versatile baselayer for the broadest range of temperatures. The quick-wicking Capilene 3 has a brushed interior that retains heat and a smooth jersey exterior that provides superior glide for snag-free layering. The slightly fitted silhouette affords a bulk-free fit without compromising mobility. Shoulder and side seams on the tops are thoughtfully placed to reduce friction from a climbing sling, pack or luggage straps. The look is streamlined. Made of quick-wicking, fast-drying and insulative 64% post-consumer recycled (and 100% recyclable) Capilene 3 polyester, with Gladiodor natural odor control. Imported.

"great warm layer" 11/18/10
got 2 on sale just in time for winter weather. great when i do NOT want to wear 4-5 layers to stay warm and wick sweat. I wear a medium, but it is smaller than a capilene 2 in medium (generous fit), but it is cut extremely well and my bf thinks i look hot in them ;)

If you're like me and find that despite your many layers of under armour and nike, you're STILL freezing when that winter wind hits, this is the perfect baselayer for you. I bought both the fusion sunset (bright red orange) and black on sale just in time for winter weather in GA. instead of wearing 3 or 4 layers, i am able to wear one of these and a fleece vest for perfect warmth in 40-55 degree weather. I am 5'1" and 125 lbs and ordered a medium. It fits very slimly, i usually order my capilene 2s in medium and they are a generous fit for layering, but these fit to the t so keep that in mind if you want a looser fit.

what a great long sleeve! So comfortable, fit is perfect, not too large, yet still gives you enough room to maneuver! Great for outdoor activities as well as casual running around! I have a few of them and can never have too many! You won't regret owning a capilene 3, guaranteed!

This top is amazing! I love them I have a few and if I could, I would have one in every color they make! So comfy and light weight! The fit is great, not too long not too short, and the arm holes aren't gigantic like most others! Highly recommend this for casual wear as well as the outdoors, or simply walking the pooch! :)

I bought the black capilene so I don't have to wear a bra...no one knows anyway...very soft and warm layer it with THe North Face 1/4 zip as well...keep the body's core just the way it should be...buy many...give them to your kids...

Patagonia has a great product in the level 3 shirt...wear alone or as a baselayer for cold evenings or by the ocean. Michigan evenings are usually so cold I wear this shirt under evening wear! nobody knows because the shirt fits like skin only no cold air gets through...a large array of colors are available along with different styles, crewneck or zipper they are great.

I think I own every color they make. I am obsessed with these shirts. They are super warm and super soft. They have enough stretch in them but aren't bulky either. They seem to fit true to size also. I never wear anything else when I am looking for warmth.

My gf moved up to MD with me from FL. and they're saying this is going to be one of the coldest winters in the last 25 years, which is funny (to me), because she's never lived outside of FL before. I got her this shirt for christmas, and shes about to order more with her points.

This is a great top--sturdy and stylish. I'm a fanatic about crew necks--they have to fit just right and this one does. I love the weight, love the way it layers or looks good by itself and most expecially love the way I can move in it. I totally recommend!

Everyone says that the Capilene series baselayer are the best - well they might not be the best out there, but they are certainly worth what you pay for them. The #3 series are pretty thick compared to most long johns around here in Alabama, but if you are going somewhere colder (like skiing), these would be a good choice.You can always find them on sale somewhere at 20% off. Just look around the various internet stores.
