I love this Patgonia crew! I am always happy with Patagonia quality, and they did not disspoint with this purchase. It's very lightweight and works great as a baselayer for chilly winter walks. Also works great alone for comfy weekend top with my Moosejaw yoga pants.
I bought this in both gray and black as Christmas presents for my mom and boyfriend's mom. Makes a great gift because the fit is not too tight but the material is thin, giving some leeway with sizing. Medium fit both mom's despite their being a different body type, with room to layer long sleeves, sweaters and coats. Mom wore it on a walk in 20 degree weather and said she was warm and dry the whole time.
"The best baselayer for sports and amazing for that in between seasons @ work"

Even though the 2011 (2012?) Capeline 2 is thinner than the amazing V-necked 2010 version it's stil the best baselayer out there. Nothing wicks more and gives you more warmth with such lightness. The darker colours are fine to wear for a casual day at work, too, making it easier to get on the water/bike/trail faster! And Moose Jaw seems to always have the best selection of colours and sizes in Capilene--even better than the Patagonia site! Thank you for fueling my addiction! :-)

I bought this for my daughter who is a runner. She loves it because it's light weight, but warm and can easily be layered. I got her a small (she's tiny) so it's roomy enough to put over other stuff. It seems to wick away the moisture well. Buy it and go have fun!
capilene 2 is the best all around baselayer, light but about to contain some warmth. i like to layer these with drifits sometimes, especially if the capilene is a light see-thru color. i am 5'1" and 125 lbs, order mediums to get generous, not skin tight fit.
I bought one in acai for jogging. I now have 5 of them in a variety of colors. They are great also for everyday wear under a T-shirt. They are long in the torso so they can be tucked in for added warmth.
