Base layers are so essential in any area of the country! These pulled through for me recently in UT while I was in the Canyonlands. I wore them for four days and three nights straight. They kept me warm at night and kept the sun off my legs during the day while taking the sweat away from me as well. Super great product, that I recommend everyone should have!
My wife loves these bottoms. She looked me in the eye two nights ago in the tent and said "Thank you for these long johns, they feel so good." To which I responded, "only the best for my tookumbear." I don't get many thank yous, and she doesn't compliment just anything. It's been super cold this last week, and she's worn them hiking and in her sleeping bag. She's so glad she has these bottoms along with her.
I commute by bike or foot to both work and school in Coastal Alaskan weather. P.S., I used to live in Interior Alaskan weather, which is much colder. Overall, these long underwear are perfect. I wear them under everything, and they definitely keep me warm. As a style note; I like that they come in a lot of cool colors, so they make some of my more worn pants look kind of cool, but the BEST part about these is that they are effectively breathable and moisture wicking, they do not ever smell funky, and they are very lightweight. Perfect for anyone who is consistently out no matter what the weather. I like these so much that I ordered a pair of the 3s for even colder days. Buy them.
You can't question Capilene - this stuff is AWESOME! Incredible light weight, quick to dry, wicking, resists stink, wonderful baselayer. Unlike the shirt, these will NOT look cool on their own – they’re not supposed to – but they will keep your warm and comfy (like they’re supposed to). Capilene fits very true to size.
Great leggings. Elastic band isn't too tight to that it cuts into you but yet it keeps them up. I am 5'7 and these are long enough. Material seems to be of a high quality. Thin enough to be worn under work clothes so that nobody can tell your wearing long johns. I like how they were packaged so that they don't take up too much room which is environmentally friendly. I bought 2 pairs, one 2 and one 3 for different degrees of cold weather.I like moosejaw's cookiness and their fun packaging which is compact. The item also arrived when predicted.
Wow! Football games are played on cold evenings but you won't feel the cold wearing these bottoms. Be the smart one.....be prepared for the fridged cold ...buy a few pairs! Love them
We live in Vermont. It can get cold. Very cold. Often. My wife loves having these on to help fight the constant winter battle of keeping her body thawed.
