Women's Fit Guide Details & Info

Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

• Conforms to the body's contours.

• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

• Boxy, athletic, with a traditional crew neck.

• Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Might want to go a size up I just received these pants and was surprised that they were very tight in the hips and waist. They were described as a “slim fit” and I’m generally a size 2 ( 5’4” 120lbs) but they were extremely restricting when I put them on which is obviously not ideal for backpacking. I also noticed they only went down to my ankle, which I didn’t prefer. I ended up calling Patagonia customer service to ask about the fit of their pants and they did tell me that as you go up a size the pants are made an inch longer. All of that to say I’m exchanging these for a regular fit pant in a size up. I’m sure they’re great pants that are made well, I’m just not so sure about the fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic pants I got these for my wife, she's super hard to by pants for, this is about my 5th try i think and i finally got it right with these. she's pretty small about 105lbs but the waist fits great, and they even have tabs with snaps on the sides to make smaller if need be. they are a little long on her, but that's ok since they have the buttons towards the bottom to roll the legs up and its to be expected since she's pretty short. its hard to find pants in 0 size and some times the 0 in other brands are even to big for her. so glad to know we can now count on patagonia. she loves the color with the purple highlights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From Mt. Marcy to Adirondack Brewery, these pants rocked! First off, the fit: I'm 5'4" 118 lbs, but I'm kind of hippy, so the 6 is about as good as it gets on me. I have to use the snappy tabs to snug the waist, but through the hips and thighs, they are perfect! They were way too long, so I had them taken up about 2 inches, no probs. Super light weight and pack small, so they are great for backpacking. They're perfect for spring, cooler summer hikes and into the fall. I wore them all winter too, but with a pair of poly leggings underneath for warmth. Super rugged. I've scrambled up Adirondack rock on my knees, and slid back down on my behind in these, and they don't show a bit of wear. Super stylish for wearing to the brew pub apres hike. I got the brown, and the color is awesome! Kind of coppery-irradescent. Very cool! Water beads and rolls right off. I LOVE these pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants I bought these pants to wear for boating and hiking. The fabric is light enough to wear for sun protection and the water repellency works great. They dry very fast, which is great when hiking and crossing streams. I like that they can be rolled up and the front pockets zip so nothing falls out. The relaxed fit is also good for moving around. Ended up getting two pairs in different colors, would defiantly recommend them.
