"Best field pants I own" 12/29/11

I'm a field ecologist & these are AWESOME! Better yet, they don't look like dude pants. Stylish, comfy & sturdy. I dig 'em.

"Flattering, multi-use pant" 08/21/11

I got these pants for trekking around and scoping out boulders and rock walls outside -- the full length definitely keeps out the ticks like a good hiking pant. However, once you've set up shop at a boulder, you can just zip off the bottoms and have unimpeded range of motion for your ankles and lower legs. This is something that always bugs me about climbing in long pants, so it's great to have the multi-use option here. Also, for the functional pant look, these aren't half bad. It still looks like I have a butt! And, considering the responsible materials sourcing of Patagonia apparel, I feel good about buying a product I know will last.
