"WARM, KEEPS THE BLOWING RAIN AND SNOW OUT OF MY EYES AND CUTE!" 01/05/11
This is the best hat ever. I had the original one that Patagonia made, and after wearing it for about 15 years, thru rain ,sleet, and snow, I lost it last February IN Patagonia. I guess it wanted to find it's roots.Anyway, I recently wore my new one while snowshoeing in the Sierras. The wind was howling, the snow and sleet coming down fast and furious. My son and husband had bright red, cold faces with snow covered glasses. I, on the other hand, could not only see through my non- snow covered glasses but looked amazingly cute. If you want an exfoliating facial while hiking in bad weather, do not wear this hat. Otherwise, enjoy and get that facial in the spa when you get back home.
"Quality materials, workmanship, conservative styling" 11/14/10
Top-of-the-line cold weather hat. Color is great, simple design, excellent, uniform stitching, adjustable sizing feature. Best of all, it looks good on me! Ear flap doesn't quite cover the very bottom of ears but I'd still buy it, or recommend it regardless of that minor issue. Added benefit. Watching TV while wearing the hat with ear flap up keeps headphone ear pads from pressing against my ears, makes for more listening comfort.
