Men's Fit Guide Details & Info

Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

• Conforms to the body's contours.

• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It doesn't let go! Picture Crocodile Dundee pushing open his jacket pointing to his buckle and saying, You call that a belt? THIS is a belt! I was looking for a web belt that would keep my pants off my hipbones. This is it. The others just slip. It's wide, thick a little stiff and four feet long. With my 34 waist it wraps around to my left side. I could trim it but with its micro adjustability from huge to tiny it can double as some outdoor specialty tool. Maybe why they call it Tech It doesn't let go! It is easy to unobtrusively loosen or tighten. My first choice color, burlap, is completely sold out. If it is available next season in that color, I'll buy another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great belt, but... This belt comes pretty long if you have a 32 inch waist like I do. So one day I was sick of the extra length on the belt, I took some scissors to it, singed the newly cut belt and effectively shortened the belt to the desired length. I would not do this again without a specially designed scissors for cutting this type of fabric, because I was left with a rough end. ,,The buckle is heavy duty and beautiful. But its pretty big so if you are the kind of guy or gal that likes to pick up your girlfriend, she will complain that the buckle is digging into her. ,,Once you are okay with these little nuances, you will simply love this Patagonia tech web belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should Last Forever Bought my 2nd Web Tech belt, one of the last brown ones for ,,sale anywhere. Moosejaw had to call the Chicago retail store who sent me the very last piece in inventory.,,The belt is awesome. Sturdy and low-key, I wear this belt with my ,,business-casual wardrobe w/o hesitation. It's wide enough that it ,,doubles as a ski belt. Works as well for golf or jeans or even shorts. ,,I have both brown and black and I don't know if I'll ever need to buy ,,another belt.,,Moosejaw was helpful in getting me the exact color I wanted and went out of their way to get the job done and I appreciate that. I chose ,,the free economy shipping, which took 10 days to arrive. Not a ,,big deal, but it's not quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, works great. I bought this belt because I wanted one that was more casual than my Galco instructor's belt. This belt is tough, comfortable, and it tightens up wonderfully without loosening. It's pretty wide and sturdy but it's still very comfortable.,,,,This belt feels much more durable than my Bison Designs belt which is kind of similar. That's a nice belt too but it feels more at home on light nylon shorts than jeans or hiking pants.,,,,I was worried that the buckle might be a bit uncomfortable while sitting at my computer at work all day, but that's not the case at all. This is my daily belt now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny's worth!!! I bought this belt about i year ago and i love it. I was worried that is would not be comfortable but i will not wear any other belt now. I was just looking at the new yellow one and i think i might buy it too. Just because they come in handy all the time. The last week hike i went on i need something to hang my hammock with and i used this belt. Worked perfect didn't slip at all and i am 215 so it had some strain on it. My friends have used it for other things like this and it has never failed them yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A modern version of an old standby... These belts are a little hard to come by - especially in the various colors - but they are worth the search. I have not worn it long enough to comment on the strength of the buckle but after looking around a lot, I can confirn that the width of these belts is a lot more fashion forward than a lot of what is out there. Many of the other examples I found were much narrower and the material was not nearly as robust. As is typical with Patagonia, the craftsmanship seems top notch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This belt is sweet! I love this. I'm pregnant, so my stomach is constantly changing sizes. This belt allows me to slide the buckle as far to one side as I need to. And this size is nice for a girl, it doesn't make you feel stupid if your pants have big belt loops. My only gripe is that it makes this GIANT bump in the front (ha) where the buckle is. And since I usually wear my shirts not tucked in, this looks a little silly. I'm hoping that will die down once I get the belt a little more worn in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Belt, size a little off looking but that's my fault I am completely at fault for not checking out the measurements on this belt. A full 1 1/2 inches wide and the buckle is 2" by 2 1/4" bigger than I would have liked. ,,Pros - cinches up great and stays put,, pretty light weight for the size ,, very comfortable and can be used in emergency on the trail,,Cons - Size (my opinion),, Advice, If most of your pants/shorts are dark get a dark colored belt, another goof by me.
